Thanks Eddie. Reassuring to hear this. Gives me renewed hope (on funding in particular). Emails? Not entirely happy about this. Official communication doesn’t always have to centre around something new. It can be used to restate ongoing commitments especially if investors need it. Plenty of unhealthy speculation out there. A company post would be useful.

Besides it can only accompany the Chuditch field which Sunda has invested so much time and effort and money. Everyone has invested here on a Chuditch win.

You’re correct and this delay is rapidly looking ominous the longer it goes on. I’m rapidly turning Chinese. I really think Timor Leste should throw their lot in with China. The West are now unreliable. USA aid budget to Timor demolished. Look to the East.

Understandable but you would see profit taking from badly burnt investors like you have never seen before. As for a poor update. I’m not even going to go there.

Never thought I’d say this but I hope we don’t hear from Sunda Energy this week or at least until this chaos calms down. A positive news release on the back of a bounce in the markets would be ideal.

Hopefully an alliance of the EU, China and Japan will stand up to the bully. He already looks rattled and when he back tracks, which he will, the markets might recover but he’s doing irreparable damage to the world economy. The Labour Party is making progress and will turn things around. I have full confidence in Starmer and I wish him well. The alternative is Trump supporters and Putin apologists.

The contents of which will determine the future prospects of Sunda and greatly impact the share price. The delay in an announcement on funding has dragged the share price down. Been an exodus of late. Could turnaround with a positive update.

I agree with that. I’m just saying current environment is not good and we’ve had a really bad week. Even Woodside and Greater Sunrise will be impacted if this doesn’t get better. We simply don’t know what has been talked about and to whom. I remember noting a change in AB’s demeanour round about last November. He was optimistically talking about Q1 drill, very positive on funding and mentioning other parties with experience in gas exploration. Something happened. He spoke in December and didn’t mention the other parties. He seemed noticeably downbeat and communication dried up after that. A reset clearly but still we wait. A major breakthrough might have already happened and just waiting on environmental clearance. All in play and news is imminent. Trump is looking after our share price right now. I loathe that man.

Taking investment risks just got more difficult in this economic downturn. One wonders how much our potential funding partner has lost in this market crash. I would say tariffs and plunging stock markets does impact all companies especially those seeking investment.

His Excellency the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, chaired a meeting with representatives of Santos and the Bayu Undan Joint Venture (BU JV) to review current developments related to the Bayu Undan field, including near-term priorities and planning for the next phase of the project. The meeting was attended by Mr. Gualdino da Silva, President of the National Petroleum Authority, and Mr. Rui Soares, President and CEO of TIMOR GAP, E.P., which holds a 16% participating interest in the BU JV.

Discussions covered the status of ongoing operations, market conditions, and key commercial considerations, including cessation of production, infill and near-field development opportunities, and the potential integration of resources such as the Chuditch gas discovery.

Minister Monteiro also presented Timor-Leste’s preliminary view on a preferred development approach, reflecting the Government’s objective to secure long-term value through strategic infrastructure use and alignment with national development goals.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continued coordination and technical engagement.

The overriding concern is the drilling of Chuditch. If not Q2, when? The prize is still enormous. The preparations are still in place and the company simply has to deliver.

It’s not over. It hasn’t even begun.
