(TATOLI) - The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, informs that the international competition for the Tasi-Mane project has already been opened, and a significant number of international companies have taken the forms. " The Tasi-Mane project competition is currently underway, generating a lot of interest from international companies. Over 70 companies have taken documents for the Suai Supply Base project, and more than 35 have taken documents for the highway project," Francisco Monteiro informed Tatoli at the Government Palace in Dili. According to the website of the National Procurement Council, the public competition for the Suai Supply Base project began on April 23 and will end on July 1, 2025, while the highway project from Zumalai to Natarbora opened on April 3 and will conclude on July 8, 2025.
It is noted that from April 9 to 12, 2025, the Government conducted a dissemination campaign about the Highway Project to the affected communities. Starting from Zumalai to Natarbora, because their land, totaling 1,529 hectares, is impacted by the highway construction. Initially, the construction for the highway was planned for 176 kilometers, but after adjustments, coinciding with strategic changes for the construction of the TLNG Plant from Beasu to Natarbora, it is now set at 110 kilometers. Thirty kilometers from Suai to Kovalima have already been completed, with plans to construct an additional 70 kilometers, dividing it into three sections, each consisting of approximately 25 kilometers.
