Lol yeah if only I’d kept my mouth shut, Hamish and Stephan would still be in charge, Amigo would be paying out £40m a month and refunding 95% of customers and everything would be ????. Because that’s how things work. As long as you don’t point out a problem, no one ever notices

BOD’s cannot comment on staff cuttings without an RNS.
They won’t react to JB. I think in the last Q1 presentation notes CFO mentioned 100 staff were on complaints, borrowed from other lending roles/ dept to ensure Vreq extention to mid-Oct deadline is met. After Mid-Oct some of those could be relieved from AMGO.

It’s never nice to do so.
The tough decisions have to be made every few years in order to survive. Else you will not survive in uncertain times. As a listed company, all Shareholders want to see clear leaders at the helm. Takes a strong leader with the long term vision, drive and “big cojones” to do this. JB is this man.
A new CEO, or Executive will always bring their own gaurds in to protect and buffer them, just like in football, a new coach brings in their own backroom staff.

I read that as, he (JB) will walk away if he lost 2nd time. End of chapter. Momentum is now gathering this weekend. Can feel it in my bones.

This will save £5.25m a year if you average £30k per annum x 175. Potentially nearer £6m a year. (Complaints cost £6m for 1 quarter). Larger Institutional investor will like this CHESS move.

Seen this many times. Great move by JB. Retain the best experienced staff and cut the excess.

This is a difficult question. Under me Amigo as CEO, Amigo was regularly voted by staff as one of the best companies to work for in the U.K.

But Hamish has swelled staff to >400. We had around 250 when the book was bigger and around 100 of those were in payout....

Good post. I think the BOD talking about International expansion would be over the top, they need to get past the key hurdles by mid Nov then make those moves for 2021.
There would be too many questions. Get the spine sorted first.
