Thanks for the info SV. If c37 is producing what they say, then the target to increase by 50 % is all but met. Only thing left is to show increase is sustainable. Personally I don’t care too much if they don’t improve on the current figure, I would be more than happy to see the numbers confirmed in the next financial report. P.S lucky escape with mats. Almost sold and jumped in, but the mcap there was too high compared to Zen. Still is the case even with today’s discount . Apols for OT, and sorry if anyone is in there.

Ageos. It appears to me that some of the Murudkhanli wells were extended into lower Eocene. M23/25, M205 for example, hence my 'hope' that just maybe the new perfs may hit those 3x recently identified regions if they exist across the field from Jafarli to Murudkhanli. Hey, I did say wishful thinking. Good to see that you are looking in and retaining an interest in how the land lies so to speak (literally as well as metaphorically ). Things are starting to get more interesting here now and it is only a matter of time until Zen manage to unlock some of those reserves.

I was sent to a pretty bad place (state of mind) after that poorly worded rns telling us that c37 was pretty much a disaster and at the same time was sent to Tamworth on business where there was little or no chance to spend any time on the internet. (Tamworth was not such a bad place though--quite nice in a village called Hopwas). That coupled with a complete loss of interest in the Zen B.S. I just left the posting to others.
So. my guess ( and it is just a guess) is that they have decided not to produce from it for safety reasons. As you say, if can produce something then it is all to the good, but if the well is completely unstable then the safe option is often the most prudent. It could be that the oil blowout was coming up through the anulus instead of the production tubing or some other undesirable route. Ultimately I have no real idea why, but 'Safety' is always a good option/reason so to speak.
Don't mention Z28 Whatever you do though! Aj is still waiting--maybe they will revisit it in 2020.

MudPump. I am wondering whether Zen could 'get way with' calling a sidetrack directional drill from a currently inoperable non-productive wellhead a 'New' well in terms of their commitment. There is of course a large portion of 'artistic licence' in that comment but they may be able to swing it on the basis that they are now getting into gear again after 2 years of being stuck in neutral and SOCAR are ultimately only interested in seeing field re-development and cash coming in. We shall see.
Funny, I mentioned the sidetrack a couple of weeks ago and sent a message to Zen saying why don't we just go for it with a horizontal into the mid/lower Eocene and it was then mentioned in the interview. No influence on my part of course but at least they are thinking about it along similar lines. Next Q to send in is when do they think there will be a new well or to get back into Zardab, maybe Z4 or 14, already drilled into Upper cretaceous with a jolly good clean up and run a new completion with sand control or a sidetrack from one or the other or both.

OilNo. Welcome to the discussion. I think that Ageos was talking about the change of schedule for the BD260 from being used for Zen01 following C30 to being utilised on M247 with ZEN-01 to follow as opposed to messing about with a tiddly intervention process. I agree that the interventions and workovers etc including re-perf can be handled with the A80 and a wireline rigged from it. As we do not know which well they are currently working on, it would be interesting to know whether it has already been drilled down to the extent where those 3 additional payzones were opened up on C37 in the lower Eocene. If so, then we may be in for a decent uplift from it (wherever 'it' is). Maybe just wishful thinking, but is it just co-incidental that it is happening soon after C37? or strategic based on what they found? Two weeks and we should know.

It is what the rns was about. The entire South west has never been drilled or oil extracted from it because it was too boggy for soviet drilling and besides, what would have been the point when's they had so many other easier targets. Horizontal drilling has become more normal as opposed to being a rare specialist activity some years ago, therefore to drill a 500-600 horizontal,into the known production zones could be a massive game changer here. Using the existing well will get us there quicker than going ahead with a new well. They will have to run some integrity tests on it first though. Sooner the better. Afternoon all.

It may be possible that they have already found oil shows on the returns. The estimated drill time ( I seem to recall) said that it may be quicker than anticipated. 35 days was for drill and test, therefore the 'drill ' may be well on the way. More likely that Heron has managed to start flowing unassisted. If so it is also likely that whatever flow it starts at is likely to increase once the oil becomes more mobile through connectivity. Could be the turning point for you guys over here at last.

C30 Mid-end of November at a guess...maybe. Hopefully power upgrades to the rig will be after C30 and before zen01.
I have been waiting for them to get on and do a lateral drill for nearly 3 years, Ageos, I will send them another message about it.. and include you jolly good suggestion of using the next well for it. Signing off for the day, will look in tonight maybe.

Unfortunately I don't have any other investments to rely upon. I was anticipating a small drop on news or to stay somewhere near where we were and then watch a bit of drift until c30 started drilling and then on to around 5-6p by year end.
Reading between the lines on this news and the ill fated interview posted on wednesday, I have a feeling that they will need some more cash. They had to do a last minute change to the completion as someone rightly said already and the thing is now just an open hole, produce everything and sort it out when it gets to surface including sand, rubble, water and old lada
Nivas. History tells us that these wells in general ( not always) don't produce for too long before sand takes over, hence why I have all but written it off. I really am no expert so I urge anyone to do their own research and make their own decisions. Whenever anyone posts, I believe they have moral obligations to be straight and honest. That of course depends on one's own knowledge, experience, interpretation, beliefs etc etc, ( and current mood), therefore anyone's guess here can never be assumed to be accurate, but providing the poster has posted with the best intentions, that's all one can ask. At the moment, I am not in the best frame of mind to say the least. The thing about the cash is just a wild guess and if anyone has a reason why that may just be panic and misguided, please let us know.

Workovers/rig.
Rig is and has been a bit of a monster but the wells are deep and need something like this rig to drill safely. The A100/120 is probably OK up to 2500m and can be used deeper when light drill string is being used for clean ups etc. Otherwise it will have to be el monstro with all the paraphernalia that goes with it. one thing though, there will be some concrete bases dotted around jafarli for that shed that I might need pretty soon. I have written off C37 as a failure. I appreciate that others don't share the same view hence I have stayed out of comments. I usually take the view that if there is nothing good to say, then say nothing. So I guess that tells you how I feel about it.
With the hype and BS about successful drilling, own rig blah blah, they have managed to achieve no more than the old soviet drillers did with inferior equipment and less geological expertise 40 years ago. Brilliant.
And yes AJ, unfortunately this result is very damaging, thanks for your concern dear chap.

Groundworks are great, maybe they should start building houses.

Drilling is about 1/3 through the process therefore just churning through rock.
Testing hasn't really started, testing operations have started which kinda means getting ready for testing therefore no leakage of information there either.
Someone selling does not mean they know anything more or less than anyone else, although it could mean that, but at the moment there doesn't appear to be a likelihood of untoward news from either operation as both are too far away from any reliable indicators. Rns information has stated that there is no need for a cash raise to complete the current 2019 requirements, therefore the likelihood of a fund raise is possible but unlikely.
Still looks like a decent chance of success even after previous dry drills. Heron isn't dry by sounds of it at least. Whether it flows naturally or after stimulation and how much it will flow are another story of course.

These are just small fry numbers, nothing of interest. 50million buys would be interesting.
