Should be getting up to speed with proper production over the next few weeks followed by more drilling news. I don't think there is lot to say at the moment other then they are (hopefully ) getting on with the job in hand. I reduced my holding here some weeks ago--after the miniscule gold pour--as I could see a drop whilst waiting for production end of Q1 -ish. Watching for a re-entry point, will prolly miss it though.

Just learned that a neighbour Peter has succumbed to C19 and passed away over the weekend. A great loss to our little community, intelligent, sharp minded, polite, genuinely lovely guy with whom I really enjoyed every conversation we had together. He went into hosp for something else and contracted C19 whilst there and never came home. Unbelievable to think he is no longer with us. Sadly his wife has dementia and can't manage on her own, Pete did everything for her and had so much patience with her, what a mess.

These environmental restrictions sound very familiar to me. Water vole re-homing. Containment of suspended solids to prevent migration to the river, strong mitigation measures for the use of barge, vibration and noise monitoring to ensure planning consent thresholds not breached, restricted hours, light pollution to river and land based habitats, migrating bird surveys, no work during certain 'mating' periods, agreed planting scheme, all excavated/pile arisings stored in containment bunds, no refuelling on site--and on and on. not impossible to achieve and fairly standard if you are anywhere near a SSSI, bit of a pain in the butt. LNG Terminals, West Wales and Isle of Grain Kent, both built and operational so no reason why Simec can't comply.

Nothing significantly new. Appears to be a summary of the current position and confirmation of the first 'thoughts' so to speak. I'm not sure whether this sentence has been used previously "Positive indications of stacked, continuous oil and gas plays;". but the continuous bit of that statement is encouraging as it is an essential aspect to achieve production.
rns may have also been published to advise that initial lab comments are still awaited and will be next few days. Many were expecting that info this week and the company have probably been inundated with questions like " are we nearly there yet" and hence spelled it all out in one message. I
I'm not sure why the SP tanked other than sell on news strategy as there will be more hopefully 'good' news early next week if they get the nod from the lab. We shall see I spose.

For anyone that would like a bit of a read, see link. Essentially it is way to early to predict what they have for sure and/or whether it may be commercially viable, however, so far so good IMV. Key point is that there are 'continuous' oil/gas shows that exist, these need to be compared with log data and lab analysis of cores and prolly against the existing well data that they already have available from the adjacent vertical, and then cross ref against characteristics from existing producers, and then come up with a right good guess!.
