canadian pond weed now thats one to watch grows like buggery !!! ragwort is poisonous to horses yellow fowers notifiable weed wouldnt be that !! its more of a brook can be 6ft deep or 6 inches !!! its the stream where st edmund was supposedly caught in by the danes "goldbrook"

lol we have kingfishers at the stream down bottom of garden but they havent found us yet although a young heron did the other year but koi pond 6ft deep straight sides they dont like that, have several other ponds with plants etc and a 60ft one planned (theory is more ponds = less grass to cut !!)

lol keeps thee water clear though !! blanket weed can grow 6ft in length per day so need to keep on top of it !!! zinc oxide is a fraction of the cost of the "koi" blanket weed treatments but works for me, fish all died but no blanket weed lol ;-)

i use zinc oxide in my koi pond to get rid of blanket weed but its its need in general not isolated uses thats important and its diminishing availability
