Although there have been some short term frustrations, the progress over the last 12 months on the Kabwe project has been excellent. A licence restored, complete control obtained with the lions share of ownership, and a complete revamp of the entire process methodology to maximise chances of commercial success through
(A) simplifying the process and reducing technical risk of failure,
(B) finding methodologies to meet exacting evironmental standards
(C) potentially scaling up the tailings throughput at least ten fold
(C) ensuring vanadium, at least as a saleable soluble concentrate, is produced alongside the zinc concentrate.
We appear now to have entered the phase of negotiating and agreeing the best way to build the zinc processing facility so it falls within the companyβs current capital financing capabilities. And all of this has been done, we hope, by keeping the politicians onside.
If in twelve months time further significant progress has been made with the concerns about the long term licence issue having been put to bed, with zinc and lead concentrate being produced, along with a saleable vanadium solution, and with the project producing significant positive earnings, then the Kabwe project could well be the making of the company. Fingers crossed.
tand bring in a vanadium solution.make it more commercially viable, meet the environmental standards required
