.".Here’s some info on The Hartford Growth Fund Limited https://aum13f.com/fund/the-hartford-growth-fund-limited
I’m assuming that the header in the “Fund AUM and Sold” table is missing an M - ie should be ($M) unless they really had just $110 in it. Anyway point is the AUM started late 2010 and went to 0 by early 2013.
Now tap on the link to Tiresias Capital Ltd and take a look at their AUM. And you get this
https://aum13f.com/firm/tiresias-capital-limited
Hard to tell exactly but lets say their AUM was initially recorded early 2012 at a not too shabby $1.1bn. It drained away to 0 by late 2012.
Also note that a company called OMNI Global Fund Ltd and OMNI Global Fund LP get a mention in the funds table. Along with Hartford of course. Surely not related to the OMNI PARTNERS LLP in the TR1? I don’t know.
Anyway apparently the Hartford and Tiresias funds had 0 AUM by early 2013..."
I couldn't verify his sources, so I dug around a bit at Companies House and Omni's UK website.
Omni Partners LLP https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/OC309760/filing-history, Dec 2021 accounts record a profit of £ 1.25m, principal activity : 'provision of investment advisory services'.
Their activities per www.omni.co.uk consist of (1) a secured property lending business and (2) the Hartford Growth Strategy..."a truly unconstrained and opportunistic investment approach, investing across multiple jurisdictions, diverse asset classes and varied liquidity profiles..."
Omni refers to 1 x exited business /investment, Normedica, it says
.."Normedica is a medical supplier based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The company is led by a management team with substantial experience in the healthcare industry and a strong network across the supply chain.
With a need to ramp up its business due to Covid, Normedica quickly agreed a growth investment with Omni that enabled the company to triple in size through 2020...."
However, per Companies House Normedica Limited https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/06987499 shows shareholder funds of £ 11.6K at FYE Dec 2018, £4 (and that's £4.00) @ extended FYE Apr 2020 and same (dormant co) at FYE April 2021.
Meanwhile, Hartford Growth Fund Limited (previously Hartford Growth Trading (UK) Limited) reports one investment - in Peak Reserve Power OC 411541, which had -£45.8K in shareholder funds per 2021 micro accounts ..up from - £ 31K in 2020.
A confusingly named sister co Hartford Growth (Trading) Limited had an investment in Hub Cambridge LLP OC 387223 that went into insolvent liquidation started 2017.
In the circumstances, it may not surprise that when you go to the 'meet the team ' page hxxps://www.omni.co.uk/our-company/meet-the-team/
instead of the usual boring faces and CVs, you get pictures of a bicycle, a barn, a flight of stairs, some outside steps and a skier trudging up a slope.....
All this is starting
