How much gas have they found at this well? If it's not Well16 something else has convinced Bago to sign that gas contract all of a sudden.
In answer to Jim's question the 3D seismic is supposed to take about 8 weeks. This puts the completion date in early December ,after which the results need to be compiled and then analysed ,taking us into early next year .l do know that the weather has been and still is good over there ,so with the large team working on the survey they should be progressing well.

Gneiss Energy acted as the placing agent and advisor at the EPO ( June 4th 2018). They were also granted warrants over 1,875,000 Ordinary shares and these are exercisable at a price of 4p anytime up until 11/12/19.

Good update on the successful completion of Well 38 and not long to wait for the flow rates . In the rns PH stated that the horizontal sidetrack is highly deviated which suggests that it doesn't run in a true straight line but more likely specifically targets large clusters of small vertical oil bearing fractures that have been identified from the 2d seismic . Along the way they will have also identified some larger vertical fractures/faults which because of their size could be water carrier's. To eliminate any risk of water incursion should this prove to be the case they have fitted swellable packers to the outside of the slotted liner at points where these larger fractures are intersected. These packers swell up on contact with water and provide a tight seal .This technology with the swellable packers has only been in use for around for the last 15 year's and I can't find any information on their use in Georgia before . Overall the design of well is much improved and I look forward to those results.

Good to see the gas contract issued as a seperate rns instead of the third or fourth paragraph of an operations update which we know is due . I personally thought we would have to wait until at least Well38 was online with a consistent flow of gas before Bago would agree to a contract. Something seems to have changed behind the scenes to give them the confidence to commit to the expenditure.Could we be getting a positive update on Well16 ?

Don't forget there's news due in the next few days on completion of drilling at Well38 and could we possibly be getting an update on Well16 now this gas contract has been signed.

Intrigued to read that Matd will only pay 6/7% to the Mongolian government .I bet Matd wish it was only that much. First there is a 7.5% royalty payment ,then the profit sharing contract and finally taxes.

Good update on Well38 yesterday .I notice there was no mention of the coring operation that had been taking place through the Middle Eocene at this well. The fact that they have now moved on to the next stage of the drilling indicates that they were happy with these results .

The way Zesa have put the price of electric up those generator's could work out more economical.

From what we know the rig was moved onto site on September 2nd some 45 days ago .A wireline operation had already been completed on the well by the workover rig so once the main rig and associated gear was assembled it should have been able to go straight into drilling operations. We were notified on September 25th in a general operation's update that drilling had already started but no exact date was given . By now they should be over 4 weeks into the operation and at a point where they switch to drilling the horizontal sidetrack .If the coring operation has gone well ( 30 plus metres a day) the sidetrack could already be underway .It looks like any update we get is going to be around the time of the AGM in two weeks.
I wouldn't be surprised if the workover rig has been back to Well16 since the operation's update as they stated that downhole production logging would take place in the near future .Any information gained will help with a plan of action for the remedial work required..
