Cck ,if you look on the face book page for Genethic services Mexico who are involved with the webinar there is mention of a rapid test Inthe small print.

Seems too much of a coincidence that this news is released the same day as the webinar .Rns updating the market can't be far away.

I see Novacyt sent another 100,000 test's to Egypt at the end of June . They originally sent 40,000 test's on 18/05/20. Good to see a repeat order ,they all add up .

I couldn't find anything else on the Genethics website about the webinar tomorrow . Their Facebook page gives a link to the webinar and in the really small print mentions rapid test .I don't know the relevance of this to what they are going to be talking about.

It would seem what you are looking at is a 3 year contract to supply the NEUPC with reagents .The total value is £75 million spread between 28 supplier's. If this link works you can see the contract on the government website .

I see Abbott were awarded a contract on the 14/07/20 for the supply of antibody test's worth £135 million.

I tried looking back further to try and find Novacyts contract without success .At that time several contract's for test's were expidited without going through the normal procurement channels .There are several contract's showing for Life Technologies who are part of Thermofisher and a few others . Hopefully Novacyt will add to their contract in the current round of tendering that is taking place.

The heading of a twenty minute test is a little misleading as you've still got to do the RNA extraction beforehand .If you look on Optigenes website there is a full description of the test and they state 45 minutes for the extraction .They give an overall time of 90 minutes from the start till when the test result is available.
Novacyts q32 PCR device already has a actual test run time of 60 minutes. Combine this with the new Exsig Direct RNA extraction which takes 5 minutes and you have a quicker time .
According to Optigene they extracted RNA using a Maxwell RSC viral total nucleic acid purification kit. My question is would the Exsig Direct be suitable for validation for this extraction process now that it has been recently launched ? If it is you really do have rapid test time .

Genetix Biotech in India are also selling the Primer Design covid19 test. If you click on Covid offerings on their front page this is the only one that shows . They are also selling a 16 test PCR device under the name of PalmQ Mini .This appears to be the Genesig q16 under a different name .

I posted last weekend regarding the contract's for the supply of covid19 test's to the consortium of WHO , UNICEF and GLOBAL FUND .From what I can find out on the WHO website these contract's run till the end of August 2020. There is also mention that they are looking to source more test's which contain everything necessary to complete the test and are suitable for use on fully automated system's .The high throughput test that Novacyt has brought out definitely seems to fit this requirement, so we should figure well in new contract's that will be negotiated.
