ShaunP, I've managed to find a different link to the same story with AZ that still works .This one is more detailed and at that time in April they were looking to develop an antibody test to be used in the community not in the lab .For some reason that never went ahead , possibly due to accuracy levels . At that time they were in the early stages of understanding how the antibody levels in the body reduce during the week's after infection. Then you have GMs statement three months later with the r+d. rns- Following extensive investigation of a number of serological methods, Novacyt is working with a partner who has developed a test for the detection of IgG antibody to Covid19. Plenty of indications that this test could have come about through a continuation of the collaboration that was spoke of in April ,but proving it is something else.

ShaunP, back in April the Astra Zeneca president Tom Roach mentioned in this newspaper article that AZ were working with partners at Cambridge on an antibody test. Since that date there has been no further mention of an antibody test by AZ . There's alot gone on behind the scenes as Novacyt have integrated themselves as a key diagnostics provider with the DHSC and the NHS.

Wilson63 sorry I missed your post from earlier . Looking at DKSH it seems that Asia is one big areas were they operate . I'm sure they could open some sales channel's for Novacyt if they are retained.

The q32 was launched in May 2019 and the q16 around 5/6 year's ago. The NHS have been using some of these before the large contract was announced.

The test that Novacyt are currently working on for use on the q16 and q32 devices aims to bring testing run time down significantly from the one hour mark .From what the company have already told us they are aiming to precoat the sides of the reaction tubes with the biological components needed for the test . All the test operator will have to do is obtain a sample from the swab using the exsig direct (5 minutes) then place this sample in the reaction tube and they're good to go .
At the moment I don't know of any of the other diagnostic companies that are developing this type of approach, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think Novacyt would have pre informed us of this work unless they were convident of it's success.The market for this type of npt test will be substantial if the accuracy of the original test is retained , plus I strongly think it might be compatible with some of the other PCR devices that It-Is Life Sciences have been manufacturing and selling around the world for the last 10 years.

Don't forget the French stated that they are announcing a ruling this week on multiplex test's for covid19 and other seasonal viruses.

It doesn't like the link .Try an advanced search on global tenders for Genesig awards in France and the Ukraine.

Can anyone throw any light on this link .It shows an award in France with a contract deadline date of April 30th , UK order runs to the end of march if I'm correct so I can't see it being muddled up with that one.

From the recording of the AGM GM talks of several short term targets which the company are working on with the aim of integrating them into the company .He then moves on to the first half of next year with the mention of revenue producing target's. Short term integration look's to be aimed for this side of christmas. One that would make perfect sense to safeguard the supply line is It-Is Life Sciences who produce the Q16 and Q32 . If anybody hasn't watched the recording of the AGM it's on the company website and they discuss the plans going forward from around 46 minutes in.

Regarding Optigene the award that went with this weeks notice actually came out at the beginning of August .Since then I've not seen any mention of it on their website , the news section hasn't been updated since April. They are a tiny company ,so to win a contract like this they must have put forward a credible business plan . One to watch.

sharehunter3, I don't know if you saw the link I posted the other night relating to the top 20 diagnostic companies ( volume of sales ) for 2019 . Looking at these I'd say that tay might be using the previous years figures.

What will the locked in shares that Vatel have be worth eventually ? Current valuation just short of £19,000,000 at Fridays closing price . Should Novacyt continue on its current trajectory to become a mid cap company you're looking at some eye watering numbers .

Looking on Novacyts web site they updated the information document that goes with the original covid19 test on September 22nd .This gives details of the means of sample taking which are compatible with the test and their accuracy.

Wilson63, the lab supervisor that Novacyt were recruiting was down for working at Queen Mary University Hospital labs from October till the year end .Part of the job description was helping with the testing and proving of new products and workflow solutions from Novacyt .This at the very least indicates those labs are being used to prove up the simplified version of the covid19 test for use on the q16 and q32 PCR devices.

Originally we thought the bonus date was October 18th as per the Aim admission document. However the recent rns on 17/09/20 stated the date as being on 01/11/20.
