ShaunP , yes I was only covering the NHS and lighthouse labs.
Took a good look at It-Is International the other day and appears the production was done at Stokesley . The Irish connection could have been for favourable tax rates. There's a big clue in their accounts under related party transactions. According to the accounts an average of 18 people worked there last year . Regarding production the casing and possibly the control boards are probably outsourced , then it's just a question of fitting the unit's out with the appropriate gear, then test and prove up . Although this will be a lot of bench work and not requiring too large a work area these premises don't look very big and could soon be outgrown .

ShaunP, you were asking earlier who supplies the original Lighthouse labs .Back in early April Thermofisher signed an agreement to supply 100,000 test's a day to the these labs on the understanding that they would be manufactured in this country, hence the contract's for the Life Sciences part of their business. Qiagen were also mentioned at the same time ,they could possibly have been supplying the NHS.

Looking at that new £332,000,000 contract ( 31/07/20)for Thermofisher a figure of £10 a test including extraction equates to approximately 182,000 test per day .From this I would say they are still the main provider at these labs .tests .What we saw in that message at the weekend looks like Novacyt have been asked to provide some extra test's for Alderley to further increase capacity.
Going off what we know the Cambridge lab was aiming to process 30,000 test's a day using Novacyts test's, add-on the new night shift this could increase to around the 45,000 mark. So we have the possible daily supply of 45,000 ht test's to Cambridge, 10,000 ht test's to Alderley ,40,000 covid19 test's a day to the NHS plus the new contract just announced (I did see that this worked at 60,000 test's a day) .All told Novacyt could be supplying in the region of 155,000 test's a day possibly more .

What other company has GM got his sight set on for integration in the short term this side of christmas. He did speak of more than one company in the AGM ?

Hi Wilson 63 ,those figures are mondays which I posted yesterday . Although the cumulative capacity total is over the 500,000 test's per day mark with the pillar three antibody test's added the actual virus tests from pillar's 1+2 is around 430,000 per day. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those Nexar processors is brought online at Milton Keynes in next couple of days to help the government easily surpass it's end of October capacity target.

Barnet Pete last time you were posting here you were trying to frighten investors into selling by telling them the pandemic would be over by June . You certainly got that wrong .

Nixynoo, they have just over 2,000,000 shares which are locked in till 31/03/21 and 31/12/21 ( approx a million at each date ). The other 800,000 million were put through the market back in June.

The capacity figures show a near 53,000 increase in Pillar 1 NHS labs , which is not far off the 60,000 tests per day that the first phase Novacyt contract was targeting . The pillar 2 test capacity in the large labs went up by 12,000 which could be down to the increase at Alderley that was mentioned at the weekend.

Four week's ago at the AGM GM stated that Novacyt were working on new products to meet unmet needs in the Covid19 testing market .For those that are new to this share GM doesn't talk loosely and delivers on what he promises.

Looks like Charles River are busy recruiting to set up a night shift at the Cambridge testing lab .When they first took over running this lab in august they only recruited for a double day shift . This extra shift should significantly increase the testing throughput and demand for Novacyts ht covid19 test .

I see the Haute Sante have finally released their ruling on multiplex tests for covid19 and flu .They recommend the use of these type of tests in hospital settings .Now we have to wait and see whose test the French go for .

Just listened to Van Tam again and his finishing words on care homes were - I am hoping that some of the pilots with rapid and novel testing methods will eventually lead to a breakthrough so they we can be more relaxed about visiting residents in care homes .BJ then went on to add they were hoping to be able to prioritise care homes with some of the tests that were talked about last friday.

He didn't mention Novacyt by name but stated they would be rolling out more rapid and novel tests for care homes .

Originally the Haute Sante in France said they would be making a ruling on multiplex test's last week . However no news was released and looking on their website there is a meeting this thursday afternoon which includes decision making on medical equipment. I don't know for sure if that's the correct meeting, we'll have to wait and see.

From a quick look it appears these tests are made for Innova by the Chinese company Xiamen Biotime Biotechnology . I hope that it's not a repeat of what went on earlier this year when the UK gov had to send an order of tests back because they didn't do what they said on the packet .

ShaunP ,you asked the question last night who the other European customer was that accounted for £7.2 million of the sales . I would expect this to be the lab at Cambridge. That eventually came on line at the beginning of May and was then ramped up from there .As we found out recently Astra Zeneca were awarded £150 million to run that lab ,meaning they procure the tests from Novacyt and what ever else they need from other parties. Effectively by the end of June that lab had been running for two months so if I'm correct that £7.2 million would equate to a daily average of approximately 15,000 tests using a figure of £8 for the test's and extraction kit's. It's also worth noting that the high throughput test was only launched on June 18th which should have increased the lab capacity and sales over the following months. Correct if I'm wrong.
