RE: DHSC Award of contract7 Nov 2020 19:48
ShaunP, the original contract which ran to November 4th had a clause written in saying that it could be extended for a month and the DHSC were required to give 15 day's notice . Given the current worsening situation I would expect this extension to have been changed to six month's by the DHSC to safeguard winter supply .The extra £153 million that we saw in the recent rns could well be for this renewal.
From the same rns we learnt that the first 14 week's included delivery of 300 q16 and q32 devices plus test's , a total of (£150,000,000), with the potential for a further 10 week's of supply after this that could be worth another £100,000,000.This 10 week's period appears to be just be just for the continued supply of test's for the PCR devices that are already installed .If correct this works out at £10,000,000 a week for supply of test's. Using this same figure for the total 24 week's you end up with a total of £240,000,000 for test's and then a further £10,000,000 for the initial supply of PCR devices with training and maintenance contract's. If the DHSC initiates the second phase this should come under a new award .
I did mention last night if you click on the second ATAMIS link on the Bidstats contract page there's full details of terms and conditions with the April contract.
Any thoughts on the above ?
