UK Biocentre is the Milton Keynes lab , Astra Zeneca and Novacyt are involved with the Cambridge lighthouse lab .The big question is, how many test's is Cambridge processing now they've got a night shift as well ?

ShaunP, I took a look through the full details of the Astra Zeneca contract that are attached to the repeat publishing on Bidstats. Originally the testing centre was only going to be situated at the Cambridge Anne McLaren lab till the end of July , during what they classed as phase one . Plan's were supposed to be drawn up during May so that phase two in August would see the lab move to a new location . However when you look through the Charles River most recent nightshift job vacancies for that lab it appears they are still using the same premises. Looks like they decided to stay put and the uni agreed. If you look through the job description for a nightshift scientist there's a clue where some of those Exig Max kit's are going.

A recent announcement from the university states that are going to be involved with a global trial of the Johnson Johnson covid19 vaccine .Instead of been given the standard single dose volunteer's will be given a double dose and then they will be monitored for the next twelve months.

Wilson63 ,just read your post about the dental trial .I looked into this a few weeks ago when I saw Jo Martin mention a trial in a dental hospital .The hospital in question appears to be the Royal London which is just along the road from the QMUL .If you go on their website and click on What to expect during your visit it tells you that if you are due for invasive dental treatment you will be given a covid19 test with the results back within an hour .With the link that Bladesharp has posted this would appear to be one of Novacyts trial's. Hope this helps.

M300, the award that you have seen is related to the announcement by QMUL that was made in october .The press release in october stated that they were joining forces with University College London, Kings College and the Imperial College to provide a joint covid19 testing service for up to 20,500 test's a day .I would expect to see similar contract's for the other colleges that are taking part . Looking through the contract it seems that December 21st is the starting date for the QMUL lab .It also mentions that QMUL are responsible for sourcing the Covid tests that they use . With the fact that Novacyt are operating in the lab's at QMUL proving up product's I would say there's a very good chance that they are going to be the chosen supplier . Then there's the question who might be supplying the three other colleges.
