I think it refers to NTSB recommending that NHTSA require it.

FWIW, I too am peed off about the aviation deal. The lack of new contracts not so much as nobody else is announcing these, so not lost to competitors and we know that EU have been tardy sorting the finer detail on the req's, which as pointed out earlier, means the final contract cannot be inked, removing the legal req. to notify the market.
In the meantime we have found ourselves with one of the worlds largest chip suppliers including us on their auto platform, more tier ones and more models with existing customers all in the last month. traders will sell and re-buy constantly and the SP is not going to just sit there in between RNS.

I thought the Sunaru /GM thing didnlt sound right and, looking into it, there was some model swapping way back when GM held circa 20% of Fuji HI, the parent. It has since sold all it's holding and has nothing to do with Subaru. So why 9? Well, Holden wasn't in the list and they qualify.

Well, as Eeyore points out, the guessing games are mostly fun anyway as a vague hint isn't going to shift the SP but it's all a bit of fun as we wait for the contracts to be signed.

to take stock of where we are at:
We're already CT6 Cadillac and soon to be throughout the range.
We have Ford announced and FCA, both unnamed by SEE but easy to work out, with models coming this year. Likewise BMW.
It looks likely we will have Volvo soon too. (BTW I noted that the Euro NCAP detailed req's are not yet finalised so that may explain the long wait for new deals)
Do I hear Merc? Also Byton. I may have missed some.
Recent news has confirmed we work with several tier 2's now including Bosch and our tech is on the chips of both Xlilinx and Qualcom. We still await the long-imminent Aviation deal and some actual ££ RNS which should re rate the SP.
Of course nothing is guaranteed and it could all go to hell in handcart but those who follow the story are either convinced. There will always be traders who look mainly at the chart and these people need volatility. It's no coincidence there is a rash of doomsaying when we bounce off a resistance as they need the SP to drop to re buy, or close shorts.
