I meant accepting the chance to raise money, but at such a discount. It should not have happened. Kurt's bargaining power is either very poor, or he just sees the chance to raise funds as great, at whatever the cost. Whichever it is, we deserved better with this latest fundraise. He is clearly shining as a mining engineer only, in my opinion.

I won't post now for a few days, because yet again with this share, it's totally p'ed me right off and long-term holders have given much over a decade, so far only for mass dilution and no reward.

I'm supposing the Nordic backers wanted it as cheaply as possible, and Kurt obliged. If only he could have convinced them at 7p, to take a discount to 5.5p. That would have been much less of a sickener. Bad timing perhaps, and you rightly mention the UNESCO nugget, which obviously knackered our sp somewhat. Doesn't take much does it? Lol.

I am quite surprised that Kurt wasn't livid when he got wind of the Government's suggestion to get UNESCO involved, maybe he could have corresponded with the KU to ensure that our application was not to be delayed further for any such comments. He didn't seem too unhappy in the time of the RNS which confirmed what the Government had suggested to KU.

Only my take on it, but I hope he's not relying totally on the KU to work for us, because that isn't what they are tasked with. We still don't know if the KU will allow the Government to refer our case to UNESCO, after having sat idly on it for three years or so.

Hi 3card. Yes, I know re your first point, but I can't afford to take up all of the qualifying offered shares, let alone take up any extra after that. Lol. My feeling on the second point is related to the first point, insofar as perhaps people are buying more shares on the open market now, before the cut-off qualifying date of 16 November, so that a greater number of the 3.16p shares offered can be acquired. Three of the discounted shares for every eight held by the cut-off date.

Hence the sp hasn't completely tanked.

That RNS was hard for me to stomach I'm afraid. The discount was far too acute and he's raised much more than we need, at such a low level. The Nordic backers are obviously quite ruthless. I would have preferred slow and steady, then raise more again once the sp is higher. I mean, it has been between 6 and 7p quite consistently. So he cut the deal when it was floundering back down at around 5p. The discount is slightly more than 35% on that as well, if my maths is right.

I know he's trying to drive us into mid-tier, but the additional shares for people with high averages is a real kick when we are already down. The offer to shareholders is only to mask the low level fundraise, in my opinion.

I will probably take it up, but I'm far from pleased with what he's done.

Hi Val. Good to see you posting. I rarely post on here now, but if we get relisted then at least we have life again and the chance to sell or see how it goes. Obviously now we've just appointed another old fooker to feed, the geyser must have something fair to offer. He surely can't be worse than Bozzer or that other departing ghost.

Lb, ok, have it your way, that's fair, but I'll think along different lines re the KU review. It is significant, in my view, because the Government moves are now being followed while it still handles our application.

You could have a go at printing your opinion of the Government, but just leave out the naughty bits, or fill in those bits with safe words like "Pungeant bouquet".

Lb, the KU has been asked by the Government by way of a suggestion that our case be referred to UNESCO. The Government is still being monitored for the handling of our application, so there can be no whimsical crap in play from the Ministry now. It's the first time that the Government has officially been in the spotlight re Kal by an investigating body. The can won't be kicked too far from here, and you are being harsh on Kurt. It was not anywhere in the offing that UNESCO would need to be sought for input, only for its guidelines to be followed when Kurt completed the HIA. Which was of course voluntary, but somehow it seems now, crucial and very much in our favour. You could say that the man had foresight. In my opinion.

Typo Andy, sorry. I meant "The KU is investigating....." not "investing". Lol. You are right about the whispers in the corridors not being kept within the confines of supposed clandestine set-up. It's rubbish that the info is leaked and the beans are unofficially spilled before we find out. It isn't on, but that's how it is. Someone is being naughty and wants their handies slapped with a shatterproof ruler.

A deadline would be spectacular, but even a guideline of a bloody likely deadline would be like the smell of sweet, freshly baked bread to dormant nostrils. Lol.

Andy, everyone has already had their input. UNESCO will have an input but others can't then be invited to comment on that. It is basic questions. Is there any indirect impact on Laponia? Will the Lap status be affected by the Kal mine? If UNESCO is happy or otherwise the Government can make a decision. None of the parties who have had their say prior can suddenly pipe up now and reinvent the wheel.

The KU is investing the handling of our application, and we are already seven and a half years sat waiting. The Government can't reach out to all interested parties again, based on a response from UNESCO.

You are painting a longer game here than need be, in my opinion.

It's been a shambolic affair here, but the investigation by the KU will surely have a proper path to follow, including looking into what the Government does now and next, in this ongoing situation. Monitoring by the KU and a conclusion. There should hopefully be a timescale suggested by KU for the Government to adhere to for our decision, once UNESCO (if it is actually referred) has had its input. Otherwise, without any further structure by way of a guideline for the Government to actually follow, what would prevent the Government from doing nothing with our application again for many more years to come? There would have been no point at all in the KU ever investigating the handling of our application in the first place. Lol.

I wouldn't like anyone all monitory breathing down my neck would you? Time for Baylan and the Ministry to sit up and listen, work with the KU. They are already off the scale for bungling ineptitude, why destroy themselves completely?

So I think we'll be ok Oaktree. As Kurt mentions today, the involvement now, if necessary, of UNESCO, is not a material concern.

The KU surely isn't going to suddenly stop investigating the Government's handling of our application, once or if there is the referral to UNESCO. No! Spotlight is still on.
