Yes Tops, they should have rejected years ago if it was going to be a "no". But they don't want to make the decision, they know it must be a "yes" but don't want to commit, hence referral to UNESCO is taking away some of the Government's responsibly and liability for the decision they shouid really have already made. Load of political cowards. As Sooz keeps mentioning, this is supposed to be decided at law, not according to politics. Yet, years and years of politics has shelved the law.

The info is all there Sooz, aye, but the covering letter not stating the most important thing, the distance between Lap boundary and Kal, is a bit naughty. Also, no mention of the MI's recommendation, for a bit of balance. It isn't exactly a neutral cover letter, as we know the Sami and CAB, in support of them, do not want the project to go ahead.

Spot on Lb. The cover letter is a bit crap, certainly not particularly neutral, but of course if the Government pointed out the distance from Lap to Kal in the cover letter, then UNESCO could, should and possibly would dispense with it in minutes, if not seconds.

Yes Lb, and another thing I'd be wondering if I worked there is just why everything mentioned is a good three years or so old. Why are they asking us now?

The application has seen the light of day, it's just become somewhat faded in the sunlight, due to no administrative process being applied for three years or more in order to move it on.

At least the application is out and about now though, breathing fresh air again, enjoying a snappy little visit to the UN. Short stay car park me 'andsome.

In that same Op Update it also went on to say this:

"In accordance with Swedish mineral legislation and regulations, a concession shall normally be granted if: (i) a mineral deposit has been found which can probably be exploited economically; and (ii) if the location and nature of the deposit does not make it inappropriate that the applicant is granted the concession requested. In addition to the results of all drilling and metallurgical test works, the application included reports on the exploration work performed, brief plans in respect of a potential future mining operation and a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The assessment process by the appropriate Swedish authorities is currently expected to take four to nine months. The successful receipt of an Exploitation Concession in due course would grant JIMAB the right to carry out mineral exploitation for a 25 year period."

Further to the Company's announcement of 3 April 2013, its wholly owned subsidiary, Jokkmokk Iron Mines AB ("JIMAB"), duly submitted its comprehensive application for an exploitation concession for the Kallak North deposit, located within the Kallak nr1 permit area, to the Swedish Mining Inspectorate on 25 April 2013."

It's two days not three. Lol.

Pocko, our concession submission was actually done on 25 April 2013, but I appreciate you trying to bring the date closer, you know, to make the Swedish Government look even more rubbish.

As we turn the corner in our Wulfie Happy Bus, coming into distant view is our proudly lit eighth candle. Lol.

I wonder if the KU is still monitoring the Government's performance. Anyone know? The KU's findings regarding the Government's handling of our case were shocking, but it's no good if the investigation is over then there's no follow-up action to correct the problem. I'm hoping the KU has not finished the fine work. It knows that our application has been passed to UNESCO, so there needs to be something in place to prevent the Government from potentially then sitting on UNESCO's response for an indefinite amount of time. Otherwise we are back to lack of any administrative process etc.

There's nothing to stop Kurt from contacting both the KU and UNESCO for more information. It would be beneficial if we know exactly what the Government has said to UNESCO. Was it a neutral submission?
