The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
A report by New York State also likened their explosive power to that of atomic bombs. Imagine one of those going off in a city, or anywhere. Its a genuine concern with li-ion currently being the forerunner in battery storage. Murhpy's Law and all.... we cant predict what circumstances might arise, just look at Fukushima. Or Chernobyl. All. It takes is one event, and thousands, possibly millions could die. Do governments really want to take that risk when there is a viable alternative?
I believe what Sanchez was calling pathetic was the lengths that these traders will go to in order to get their 10%. The immature posting and trolling, rather than simply just buying and selling as and when they wish. The market needs traders, whether we like it or not, but that doesn't mean they should disrupt and try to spread false information about companies to profit on the back of it.
Uptake of battery storage in New York has slowed due to the conflicting consensus on safety codes surrounding li-ion batteries:

The use of VRFB would bypass this issue entirely. And is in fact exactly was the South Koreans are doing, as they have had a similar slow down of energy storage installations due to the dozens of fires related to li-ion installations:

A Canadian company called Margaret Lake Diamonds has signed a JV with South Korean KORID Energy Company to build a 200 mwh Vrfb factory in New York State:

New York has already announced a plan to build 1,500 MW of energy storage by 2025:

And New York has previously laid out its severe concerns of using li-ion batteries due to fire safety. If this goes ahead it would be a fantastic foothold for VRFB in America and would likely be the first of many.
Going with an average of $40, operating costs of $15.2 (as per last quater), and all other costs of $40m, I get eps of 0.23p.
On a PE of 15 = 34p
Plus 8.8p for Bushveld Energy as per the SP Angel broker note, and 5.4p for other business assets =
48.2p
Not too bad then really. Over double the current share price.
People were asking how to get to a valuation of 82p based on the eps you provided. I was pointing out that it didn't reflect the value of all the assets that the company possesses. Spangel currently values BE is around 6p or something like that I believe. That is likely to go up this year.
We saw around a 25% rise in 4 days, a small retrace is entirely normal and healthy. It stops momentum getting too crazy and the day traders getting away with themselves. Of course short term movements cannot be reliably predicted, but if it bounces from here then Im expecting a ride up to 30p.
From memory they have just taken more ore from Vametco in order to create further samples of electrolyte for potential customers after having successfully created an initial batch last year. Customers won't sign contracts for a product that they haven't tested no matter how eager I'd imagine.
