Its an odd one when dealing with the authorities, sometimes its better to just give them the information they ask for, as giving them superfluous information can open cans of worms. So its an understandable strategy. The nature of the additional info required is not specified, though it is hinted at that it is to do with species and their habitats. It may be the case that these reports are already at hand, and if so then the process would be quicker than having to undertake these studies from scratch.

I have asked the company for clarification, but received no reply. Perhaps it will be responded to in a more public manner, which I would fully understand as it is reasonably sensitive information.

Well I for one welcome transparency of local and national government communications. Ive been watching the NRW site like a hawk for the dewatering permit news (well, I wrote a shell script on a cron job to monitor it)

@ocelot .... no i dont think Greenroc's accounts will be consolidated into ALBAs, I believe the correct way of reporting another publicly traded company, which ALBA holds an interest in is to report the market valuation of their shareholding.

It looks like NRW has asked ALBA's environmental consultants for more detailed information before they can make a determination on the discharge permit.

other applications for permissions needed from NRW including species licence and groundwater
investigation consent.

habitat regulations assessment.

Just to clarify my post showing my response from ETX capital.

New shares at offer would be exactly that, shares, not derivatives or bets on shareprices. As ETX captial dont offer share trading accounts (at least not to me) then you'd have to use another brokerage for that. In the past when Ive taken up IPO (through primary bid) offers Ive not used my equity ISA for it, but used a non isa share trading account for that purpose.

It is unclear as yet if the offer will be open to the general public, or done via a private placing. We will just have to wait until the offer documents are published.

@Andysel ... if ALBA dont partake in any of the future equity raises for greenroc, then naturally their share of the ownership would proportionally reduce. My working figures are (and assuming a hypothetical, no sale of shares, no buying of new equity) that ALBA's proportion of ownership would be 8% or so by the time the Greenland assets are as a whole self sustaining. And that's fine, as, if value is added (through exploration, development, exploitation) at a greater rate than equity is issued then it is non dilutive. In determining ALBA's fundamental mcap, it will be easy to cite the current SP of Greenroc x no of shares held by Alba to arrive at that asset's contribution to ALBA value.
