@Nathan
The share price does not make a direct comparison between the value of a company, because each company is divided into a different number of shares. If for example company 1 and company 2 were both worth £10 M and company 1 and 10 million shares issued but company 2 had 5 million shares issued then company 1's shares would be £1 each and company 2 shares would be worth £2.
Also it brings into question ... what is a company worth ? In the above example I have stated the worth as "market capitalisation", ie. the total value of shares in issue. That, in speculative growth companies comprises mainly an anticipation of a future stream of profits, as opposed to the sum of its assets.
There's more stuff on the fb alba investors group in the files section, however some of the stuff I wrote is now out of date.
Each Alba RNS has a breakdown of its key assets, so you'll see that ALBA is about much more than the gold mines in North Wales. That said, in my opinion, some of the other assets, notably the Greenland assets' value doesnt appear to be reflected in the SP. As a result the board have decided to float a new company to hold those assets , called Greenrock Mining. In exchange for those assets, ALBA will be a major shareholder of this new company.
