I've genuinely considered buying some several times, if only from the potential upside from Cascabel share, however I always come to the conclusion my money is better in here than CGP

Especially more recently with the articles about potential problems with their exploration and their unprofessional responses to the recent SOLG informal offer.

Just my own view obviously, times seem to be changing re the chances of very small companies making it in this field, where as we have done the hard part now and it seems the further we go on, the more we are de risked.
I don't currently see that with holding CGP shares currently.

You should do some research Dose of.. re the compaines NM has sold and also on this share SOLG, we were 1p now at 36p, with BHP taking stake paying 45p

However, why would this be so if you had no intention of trying to get in here? IMO your de ramping skills are poor based on your responses this morning.

NM must have known CGP may not play ball, I think the next logic move is to offer CGP a deal the share holders will accept based on merit< as not all of them see this as a fight with NM. They will want the best value for their shares.

Holding out for many more months, for them will prob fell frustrating indeed, so they have a chance now to get in on the action when a T/O of SOLG or sale of Cascabel takes place.

They must also know there is a better scenario of this when they do join the party

Lets see what happens next, as our value increases and that of our assets, CGP owning an interest does not mean the majors won't still pounce.

Look at MARL and what happened there, as I believe they only had a 30% stake in their stocking gold asset. We have 85% I believe.

When the CGP board have calmed down and picked their dummies back up the majority of share holders will prob not want this as a personal pride fight, they will simply want the best value for their shares.

Its certainly beginning to heat up and thats with no news for some time on many fronts, not least a PEA which will no doubt confirm the asset as a tier 1 on the economics may be too good for the majors to sit back and watch NM develop SOLG into the likes of themselves.

What seems to have been forgotten on here, mainly with the circus in town, is that majors need tier 1's, especially copper/gold,,, and there are are very few around. This is expected to get more so over the coming years.

Most were surprised with the BHP news, we could very well get corporate news any time IMO, and the likes of Dose won't be here on that day saying, well I got it wrong folks, although we will get some of the circus then claiming they did hold shares and have made much more than any of us LTHs

I also note their frustration in SOLG not releasing positive news such as PEA as quick ad CGP would have liked, as they believe this would significantly increase the value of their stake.

I think they are forgetting that it is up to SOLG to release their news when they see fit.

Looks like the process has begun re CGP selling their stake, seems likely NM will increase his offer as surely for CGP it is in their interest to do so rather than sell their share to another party, which could then hinder SOLGs ability to hold off an aggressive T/O on the cheap?

in summary, my take on it all is that, as long as NM is able to stop a current or new major increasing their stake, sufficiently to trigger an aggressive T?O on the cheap, then we are on the right path going forwards.

Lets hope NM continues the chess game with this in mind, as clearly he has done thus far, by putting in defensive conditions on both NCM and BHP's stake
