its defo a possibility re a major in the making/production, however, we have seen lately mergers and potential acquisitions of big players, why would the majors allow us to grow into a major when they can easily buy us out?

NM said he would sell if the offer was irresistible, I still think personally BHP and Newcrest have not joined the party in SOLG just to leave their share at 15%, why would they do this if they weren't interested in the asset?

Won't be t long now before NM will need to find the funding for production, and companies can obviously get taken over at all stages of exploration and production.

I just think its a matter of time before we get bought.

If we get shares in the major as part of the deal I'll be happy with offers around pound at this stage.

We are awaiting PEA here and permits on other projects

Many expect a T/O, others believe we will take our main discovery to production

I don’t give advice on whether anyone should buy now, I’m holding long here and waiting for the end game

Can't see it myself, not from a reputable company, they usually release in an RNS first, thats the protocol, unless the mining ministry have lost the plot, which is very unlikely IMO

primarily in preparation for CGP bid, and I also think NM is preparing the market for bids

Funding for production and for drilling the regionals will be a fortune, so although he says he wants to take this to production I think a major or 2 who want to effectively have Equador in the bag, will be tempted when they see the full package available.

I think most of whats been released isn't new as such, just formally stating the prospects individually gives it a bit more clout maybe? Lets hope the permits are on the way for drilling.

I think we are getting close to PEA, CGP formal offer and that this then starts the bidding for Cascabel and possibly SOLG in it entirety?

As I've said before, personally, I'd like us to sell Cascabel and repeat the process for the other projects, making us a long term copper gold discovery machine.

as time passes more of the strategy will be revealed and the bidding processes will surely begin.

I think the rainy season sets in and they won't be drilling for a few months, unless I've got this wrong?

I think a Rio/ BHP JV is a possibility, although they will have their hands full with the resolution mine which is huge. They both seem to have money currently so it’s defo a possibility.
Not sure how Newcrest will do as they don’t have the funds to go it alone but have the expertise on block mining

There was a recent article suggesting Newcrest is in the sights of a bigger player itself

I agree, re BN being the icing, some of the grades there were truly amazing, and its close to Cascabel I believe, which would fit into the gold for gold strategy.

PEA can't be too far away now as according to Anna there was a small delay, which was about a month ago.

Anyones guess as to whether CGP accept a formal offer, I wonder if they will get other bids stating the ball rolling for a SOLG T/O or for Cascabel/Alpala?. I can't see anyone buying Alpala alone with out the rest of Cascabel, this would be my preferred option as opposed to full SOLG T/O, although this is unlikely IMO.
