RayG - it seems to me your argument at 11:36 all supposes that SC are the innocent party in the SP decline.
That seems counter to some suggestions here that the license issue was not contrived (I have no idea either way of course).
You could equally argue that once SC got their foot in the door, & their man on the BOD, that it has been in their interest to see the SP decline so they can increase their holding % at lower levels and, my fear, manage down expectations for a lower possible future take out price.
Who knows - certainly not I...
I will say though (sorry to bore anyone here) I was a long term holder in Mariana resources (MARL).
Aussie CEO and Aussie head of exploration, great asset, Cornerstone investor (Sandstorm - SSL) and I witnessed first hand a managing down of the SP (and PIs expectations), an RNS one day that said roughly 'we have awarded options to these 2 chaps such that if they Company is taken over in the next xxx period they will get a payout of xyz (it was > £1M if I recall). Not many months later SSL made a successful cash and shares bid for the Company at a price which some of us thought was way below what it was worth.
Now there was a chap I trusted too in the early days...
