Argo's loan with Galaxy Digital reminds me of the TV shows like Pawn Stars or Posh Pawn.

These money lenders are not in the business of losing money and often end up owning the items pawned and much more, skilfully obtained from an often desperate individual or business.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Mike Novogratz being in charge here at some point next next year.

At the end of August, the Company owned 1659 Bitcoin or BTC equivalent.

IF Argo mine cira 200 BTC per month until the loan is due for repayment they should have circa 2000 BTC allowing for some BTC selling for who knows what.

There is no guarantee NASDAQ will complete (as far as I'm aware) and there is definitely no guarantee Bitcoin will remain at this or higher levels when the loan is due for payment.

Should BTC drop to July levels or lower ($33k) when the loan is due for payment and lets say the NASQUACK money has not landed presumably Argo could be in a position where they have to sell all their BTC to cover the loan....

Maybe NASQUACK falls through and PW boat is left high a literally dry on a dusty lump of land in the middle of nowhere

I stacked some sats today, not because I wanted to make money on them but because I believe in Bitcoin and respect the bold move El Salvador has made.

No bad thing to get a crypto lesson on day one, makes the next drop less scary :-)

The cynic in me would suggest that what was voted down was really just a share grab that was part of a wealth creation long term exit strategy bundled up to get shareholder approval under the guis of NASDAQ.

But that could be because I have very little trust in anything or anyone.

When you step back and realise how big a deal El Salvador's move is and as Willy Woo said in a recent interview currently circa 2.5% of the world has adopted crypto assets it affirms how early we are.

I hear what you are saying but technically they are newly minted virgin coins. They may have been distributed via a not so 'Green' mining pool but their history can be tracked and they haven't been used for any dodgy stuff.

That's my take on virgin coins ...

That was my initial stance, well my thinking was actually PW would be prudent to keep a float of USD..

If I were PW (which I am not) would I sell some BTC to cover costs/ maintain a working USD float or would I go back to Galaxy Digital and ask for an increased loan against the increasing mountain of Bitcoin in my HODL ?

Just beer thunking on my part but I suspect someone said something like 'We/I'd like to take some of those sexy virgin coins from you and we/I would like to help you in return'
