A new law means that around 4,000 existing institutional investment funds will now be eligible to invest in crypto assets.

“This is damn huge,” Hildebrandt said. Around €1.2 trillion ($1.8 trillion) is invested into Spezialfonds, which have fixed investment conditions, and “right now, 0% of the funds are invested [in cryptocurrencies], because they're just not allowed.”

“This won't happen overnight, but we are talking about the largest investment vehicle that we have in Germany—literally all the money is in there,” he said. A recent report from Biz News Post indicated that U.S. Bancorp, the fifth-largest bank in the country, will be introducing a cryptocurrency custody product along with an unnamed sub-custodian.

The chief strategy officer for the U.S. Bank Global Fund Services, Christine Waldron, said that there has been a change in the desire of institutional investors to gain exposure to crypto currencies like bitcoin.

U.S. Bank would also serve as the administrator for a potential bitcoin ETF to be offered by NYDIG, pending the regulatory approval of that offering.

This is yet another sign that legacy financial institutions feel the need to meet customer demand for bitcoin services. Recently, reports have surfaced that JPMorgan Chase & Co. will be offering a bitcoin fund, Morgan Stanley will be offering bitcoin exposure and Goldman Sachs will provide bitcoin investment vehicles.

I popped my 1 BTC cherry this weekend buying because there is FUD in the streets and mainly because I don't think I could bring myself to but 1 BTC at $100k, $200k or maybe $1M but at $50k yeah why not get 1.

Interesting numbers:
2019 there were 46.8M millionaires.
2020 there were 2,095 billionaires worldwide. The total net worth of the world's billionaires is $8 trillion.
Then there's Funds, Banks, family offices, PI's etc
There will only be 21 million BTC ...

I now have one BTC and a sh.t load of shares in a BTC miner (this one), that's my bet and time will tell how it ends...

About 20 years ago I went to a drive through Burger King in Sutton. I asked if they did a vegetarian burger and was pleased when told they could do one for me.
I drove several miles to a pleasant countryside location to enjoy my meal.

The Vegetarian Burger consisted of the bun, tomato, onion and burger sauce lol
