I decided not to buy anymore. I'll see after their next trading report and take it from there.

Bank of America-Merrill Lynch upgraded its recommendation for shares of British American Tobacco from 'underperform' to 'buy', hailing management's moves away from the status quo of a traditional tobacco company and to speed-up its decision making processes.
The analysts also hailed BAT's boss Jack Bowles moves to streamline the company, including the elimination of a fifth of its senior managers and to consolidate the brands within its portfolio of so-called new generation products, such as electronic cigarettes and heat-not-burn vaping products.

I'm holding on to mine, long way to go yet. The SP will continue to rise because AVG are doing all the right things. It's been a great share. Bought more during the dips recently.

Bought a day before results day. Done very well since then. Will stick with them... see where the company decides to build new centres and keep on growing in different areas of entertainment.

I remain invested because of the Tory plan to invest and regenerate the northern areas.

I'd buy now. Could be one of the bargains of 2019 into 2020.

And up we go. Back into positive numbers for me.

As for the long term, I think a div cut is perhaps necessary. I'd rather the company acquire more American or Canada cannabis firms. Cannabis is gonna be big next year in the Americas.

A buying opportunity. Might stick in another few K after the drop stalls.

A good rise today. One suspects that the AGM will be very positive tomorrow.

Just goes to show that buying shares for the very short term is never a good idea in most cases. Buy and hold.

I'd suggest this is a keeper. Besides the divs, the business is shifting to new products, plus cannabis is going to explode sooner or later. Smoking, although in decline, is still making a lot of money in emerging markets. Smoking is still big business.

Why the 4 percent rise? Not that I'm complaining. :D
