NSF is still negotiating with the FCA the methodology behind a compensation scheme for mistreated customers. Its total loss last year was £135.7 million, after writing off the guarantor loans division and making a £15 million provision for redress. Its rival in guarantor loans, Amigo, is also struggling to survive after the High Court blocked its plan to pay reduced compensation payments to mis-sold customers.
