Mickiesunday I believe people will wake up only when the next set of results are disclosed. I fear not until then.In South Africa we have a financial TV programme called Summit which interviews analysts and stockbrokers who are asked for their stock picks and even though two of the people interviewed are from Sasfin (Jubilee's brokers in South Africa) they had no idea what Jubilee was about, calling the company a junior minor or exploration company.I emailed the presenter who was queering why Jubilee was running so hard when it went from 50 cents to R2.50 in less than two weeks and got the reply that you cannot force people to look into the company it is their loss.In another capacity I had discussions with a large company with offices in South Africa and London and got a reply that they do not look at companies with a market cap of less than a billion rand which it was then (now R3 Billion )When a listener asked where he could invest in a copper company he got the reply that he had to go to to the New York exchange. I have come to terms with the realisation that their reluctance to look at start up companies is their loss and my gain,so am no longer trying to educate people(except my family)as to the wisdom of investing in Jubilee.Our day will come

I want to change the wording of my post.Where I said almost all leaders of the ANC where involved in corruption I should have said many leaders and not almost all.

Like many of you my portfolio has JBL(JLP) as my top pick.I have read that many of you are in the same boat.As I live in South Africa I thought it may be comforting to many to hear my opinion of risk in Africa which seems to be a concern of many shareholders.
South Africa : since 1996 we have had 4 presidents that were elected. With Jacob Zuma as president the country hit a all time low with massive corruption by almost all senior members of the ANC the ruling party.Many are on trial (including Zuma) at the moment.To give Colin's credit he appointed Mathew Phosa as vice chairman of Jubilee . Mathew Phosa who was Secretary General of the ANC I think when Mbeki was president(the SG is probably the most important position in the ANC after the president) was Zuma's fiercest critic, and importantly a good friend of Ramaphosa the present president who unlike Zuma seems to realise that South Africa needs investment to get out of trouble.I think South Africa has passed from HIGH RISK to LOW RISK)
Zambia : This country was formed when Southern Rhodesia was split up when the country achieved independence between Zimbabwe and Zambia .Zimbabwe under Mugabe became a pariah country to the world but Zambia(which is run by a different tribe) became the country you could business with. I have a friend who was born in Lusaka (the capital) who said there little corruption in Zambia and as Leon has often told us they have a wonderful working relationship with the leaders in Zambia. Why not they are cleaning up the country,giving jobs to the unemployed,and have put up buildings where they are training citizens in the art of treating tailings. I am very comfortable with our investment in Zambia.

I should have said some private investors

I have always said that private investors in stocks show that they are not so smart. We will at least double our platinum earnings with the copper and cobalt to come. Who is selling at these prices? It can only be investors to lazy to do a simple calculation taking profits

Craig I am sorry if I offended you. It was not my intention. Of course you are entitled to your opinion I am sure if the opinions of the more optomistic of us shareholders comes to pass you will be very pleased.Perhaps it is better not to expect too much,then you will not feel let down.I agree maybe your opinion is the correct one.

Craig if I offended you I am sorry. Of course you can have your opinion which may turn out to be correct. I can only hope the opinions of the more optimistic shareholders will come true. If they do you I am sure you will be pleased.

Mike I hope we are around to see Jubilee at 1 Pound. What is wonderful about Jubilee is that the board made two big mistakes which have both been rectified and have been the making of Jubilee.When I spoke to Terry McConnachie and told him I had made a investment in Jubilee he told me to look carefully at the original Hernic contract.I did so and saw it was not ideal but Hey the board have corrected the original agreement and is now it is raking in the cash. Also the original contract with BMR started off badly with the cancellation of their licence but has since turned into a great win for Jubilee so I agree with you , Leon has been a great CEO and Jubilee has been an extremely fortunate company.

You are spot on with your comments and I believe that with platinum now over $1200 and set to go higher all options are open to Jubilee regarding the eventual fate of Tjate. The shareholders that are writing off Tjate as a worthless asset for Jubilee are dead wrong. It should add many pennies to the share price another reason to invest in Jubilee

Aucs Like some people I know you did not read my post.I never suggested that Jubilee should go into mining. All I did was to suggest a way to take advantage of Tjate licence which make no mistake is extremely valuable . Jubilee can not give it away for a few tailings. I would also be happy if Tjate could be sold but would like to see some value from the licence.

MickyS you are right.When I put forward my proposal I took into account the massive increases in price of all the PGM products .I agree with you that Tjate is now a different proposition.You cannot look backwards at previous calculations.I am shareholder in Jubilee because I believe that PGM'S and Copper are in BULL markets and the prices of metals that Jubilee produces will continue to rise , as a world recovering from the covid-19 virus ,will need the PGM'S and copper to grow their economies,

Gray 1 I agree and disagree with your sentiments on Tjate. I agree that we should not go into mining but there is nothing wrong with going into a Joint Venture with Impala or Angloplats (or both) whereby we retain a % of the J/V and the tailings in exchange for the licence where the other party or parties agree to develop and run the mine.You DO Not need to wait for a platinum price of $2000 . Just look at the profits Angloplats and Impala are making at the moment.The profits are breathtaking in the platinum industry at today's prices.If I was Leon I would consider a J/V with either or both parties

I believe that Leon would have asked new investors to announce their holdings.They would have to report that holding to the company. Time to exercise patience at if you think that is the cause of the drop in the share price you should buy as I am sure there will be an announcement.I believe the sale of shares by Colin and Leon is the cause of the drop with investors failing to see the reason why.As far as I am concerned I accept their explanations and let me point out that the future of Jubilee has never been brighter. DONT PANIC

Do the sellers actually think they know more than the institutions that believed their buy at 13 p was an exceptional opportunity.From my experience the time to buy is when panic selling sets in

Hi JLP Positive I believe you have it spot on in comparing JLP to SLP and THS.
I know more about SLP as of course I know Terry McConnachie very well and have a high regard for his ability but he is no longer there.From what I can gather they did very well with the previous bull market in platinum and I likely to do well again.BUT they are heavily reliant on PGM's. Jubilee have so many other income streams and if Platinum is about to run as it did before what about Tjate? Jubilee has that to look forward to

I am generally impressed with the quality of posts by this chat group. Let me tell you my story which was close to what JLP have experieced and I believe will allow JLP shareholders to be optimistic for the future of the company. I took over a company in South Africa by dismissing the directors at a stage when the share price was 4c and the issued share capital 32 Million shares (Market cap 1.24 Million)I had a dream the same as Leon now has. I linked up with T McConnachie ex CEO of Sylvania with him becoming CEO and myself Chairman of the company.I smile to myself everytime I read that Colin took out his cannon and was issuing more shares.How on earth can you grow a company with no money except by issuing shares.( I also received no salary for years)In my case the eventual issued share capital of the company became more than 2.5 Billion and at one stage the market cap exceeded 10 billion Rand (Much lower now as the company was in ferrochrome but I pride myself that nobody ever lost money on the shares we issued ).Because of my experience I looked at Jubilee and decided to do my own investigation. Good companies are well managed companies and Jubilee management have exceeded my wildest dreams. Being in the mining game I had heard of Leon who was well thought of.
Yes some deals were not ideal but all have been rectified with wonderful results.I refer to the original agreements with Hernic and BMR which were both altered will now become Jubilee's biggest money spinners.Thank you both(Colin and Leon) I know what you have been through. You have my strong support for what you have achieved and WILL achieve for the company

Shiner I must disagree. Double profits including 1.8 million for copper is 60.4million I agree lets add 8 million for copper and cobalt(low I think)68.4 million but what you have left out is the increased chrome and PGM's. We only had one or two months of the Windsor 8 agreement so you can safely add another 4 months production at Windsor 8 and two months production at Inyoni (Leon said the plant would be ready at the end April for increased production.)This will increase PGM earnings substantially.Also you cannot leave out the much improved prices for platinum copper and chrome as prices started moving up in November only.I would say earnings before tax will be around 90 million pounds.That would be my educated guess.
