I value my shares in an ISA wrap, if I sold on a downward fluctuation and then a month later it came back up then that will be a wrong move, you may be comfortable with that but I’m not. Besides we don’t know what Reeves will do with ISA’s, she could reduce the vol to invest down to say 10K or even 5K to discourage people getting a tax break or dare I say it she might even tax dividends in the ISA. October will tell us more.

No I haven’t sold, been through thick and thin with this share and as I am in profit and I can afford a fall to some extent but not happy about the future governments plan to steal my money. Also our shares are in ISA’s, they currently are beneficial for tax purposes but the Reeves factor looms so that may change how I and many others may look at the future.

My guess it is also a forgone conclusion all dividends outside an ISA will be taxed at 20% for starters.

Well if you go back 8 years this BB was full daily with those who didn’t like a democratic vote on Brexit and how unjust it was etc etc. They also picked articles out to bang on about the government.

Fast forward to now and the boot is on the other foot and guess who doesn’t like it and of course they want to close it down. Well just under five years is going to be interesting for some and not others.

Well it won’t take much of a campaign by the Tories to undo in their manifesto all the stealing Labour have done and reinstate financial justice again. A one term stint by the looks of it.

If the government is prepared to give families a child allowance on the first two children and then the family decides to have more children, then that is their choice not the governments.

Also if you are planning to have more than two children you should have made the calculations to make sure you can afford them, bottom line is that it is all about life choices and it is down to you to be responsible.

Even if you did scrap the child cap how would anyone actually know that those so called children would be pulled out of Starmers so called poverty?

The children are not the ones in control of the benefit and can spend it wisely on themselves.

The only way that scrapping the cap could work is if the parent(s) were given coupons that could only be spent on specific items like clothing and shoes etc. That would be rejected by the big families as unfair but then you have to ask what would those parents be spending the money on then?

Labour about to lift the two child allowance cap. It will only cost £3.4B a year, roughly 3% of the total budget for working-age benefits.

Another big lump of money Reeves now has to find out of an ever diminishing pot she started off with and not costed in. Labour, the party that can never say ‘no’ to giving more benefits.

Labour, doing as everyone predicted, not responsible to look after the weekly purse and busting the housekeeping budget as usual.

Happy to be proved wrong here but I suspect that the very generous pensions for the six million including MP’s and NHS don’t actually have a fund as other FS pensions do. I believe it comes straight from the bottom line of income that the government receives each week/month.

Which would explain why they didn’t get stuffed 15 odd years ago because it wouldn’t actually concern them when Brown killed it for us.

This would also explain why it will become a major problem in a few years to come, especially as Labour is going to add to that six million handsomely.

There are so many questions to ask that this in itself raises alarm bells.

1. Will all private pension funds be forced to commit to parting with a percentage of its wealth to supporting start ups, new investments etc etc?

2. What will that percentage be?

3. As and when a start up/venture etc fails can the pension fund recover its losses from the government because it was forced to give the money?

4. Can the pension funds refuse to provide funds if it feels a loss/failure is likely?

5. If in the event funding makes a success of a venture will it be a part owner of the said venture and able to take a regular income and if it has a controlling stake actually sell the venture to return back to the fund?

6. If a pension fund finds that its funds are depleted to a point that it can’t provide its pensioners as set out will the government step in to compensate the fund?

7. Will the government give a crown guarantee to not let any private pension fund fail?

8. It could take at least five years or more before a possible venture starts to break even before even thinking of paying back the pension fund so will a fund still be able to maintain full committed payments to its pensioners?

9. The assumption is that I hope that the pension funds actually will get something back on those few ventures that might work.

10. This is just a convenient way for the Labour government to force pension funds to pay for a hair-brained government idea where the government has no risk and can just walk away from the failed ventures with nil cost to it or the taxpayer.

It is so easy to spend other peoples money when you don’t have to put your hand in your own pocket.

Vote Labour and see your retirement vaporise into thin air. But don’t worry there will be enough benefits new and old to make sure your only retirement experience will be to stay at home and enjoy the radio, as you won’t be able to afford a TV license.

Sadly Starmer will give back for more with very little of value in return. He has already stated that the UK will not rejoin the EU.

All deals the EU want will be ratified before anything we want will be discussed. If you think they will let the City of London back as it was before then that will never be on the table.

You think Boris made a pigs ear of a deal then Starmer will make a bigger one.

The EU have demanded, such is the arrogance of them, that we give more fishing rights to France along with allowing students to come to UK universities and not pay international fees and also bring extended family members with them. The Spanish are demanding we give Gibraltar up and that is just the beginning of the EU demands. Migration is another area which will mean quotas we must take in which will make the numbers we are seeing now just a speck of sand on the beach.

What does Starmer want, better trade on food, recognition of qualifications and a deal on chemicals.

A pretty unbalanced deal by a long short if that is Labours top priorities.

Might as well hand the keys of the UK to Europe now and become a peripheral state.

Independent review bodies are recommending that the public sector should get a 5.5% pay rise. The Government has budgeted for 3%. These recommendations are just for the NHS and teachers and is estimated to blow an extra £3.5B hole in the coffers of Reeves. This doesn’t include the armed forces and the greedy Civil Servants who won’t want to be left out.

How is Reeves going to find the extra money, well it can only come from those horrible wealthy pensioners who are too old to need money and can afford to give it freely to Labour to help them out of a financial crisis. The easy soft target that can’t fight back. Kiss goodbye to the triple lock, in fact kiss goodbye to any state pension rise for the next few years possibly.

The ‘Reeves’ pot won’t be helped by giving all junior doctors a 12.5% pay rise on top to stop the strikes.

If the public sector gets an eye watering pay rise then the private sector will follow and this will push inflation higher for a lot longer.

Well you would think so, just what is the cost globally to thousands of companies and millions of individuals? But don’t worry, as an American company it will be protected by the US government just like Boeing and a sweetheart deal will be made and they are off the hook.

Remember when BP had the Horizon oil spill incident and Obama went in hard and screwed them for billions, just because he didn’t like the British. One rule for the US and another for any other business in another country.
