Seems odd to be quoting 20p+ as the work of a Messiah.... it was nearly that recently, until Art screwed us over.

Thanks Morbox, albeit the Full Year Pre-Close Trading Statement was 8 days earlier this year, so I was expecting the same for the official results.

Nice 100k buy at 10:30... it says unknown, but pretty sure that's another nice buy.

Interestingly FT report that Watches of Switzerland have also blamed Royal Mail strikes for December performance, in the way THG did:

Watches of Switzerland has reported lower than expected sales growth because of rail and postal strikes over Christmas and general worries about the economic environment.

The UK’s largest luxury watch retailer said revenue increased 17 per cent to £407mn in the 13 weeks to January 29 this year, narrowly missing analysts’ consensus expectations of £425mn.

“We did experience macro-market sentiment particularly in the UK as very negative. Over Christmas time it was probably at a low point”, said chief executive Brian Duffy. He added that festive trading was affected by Royal Mail strikes that reduced delivery capacity as well as transport strikes limiting footfall in London.

About one in six businesses told the Office for National Statistics that they were negatively affected by industrial action in December, with almost a third reporting reduced turnover on the previous month.

Watches of Switzerland maintained its guidance for full-year revenues of £1.5 to £1.55bn, but its share price was down 11 per cent by early afternoon trading on Thursday in London.

here was no sign of a slowdown in the luxury watch market, as Watches of Switzerland reported a 17% increase in revenue for the three months to 29 January, but shares fell amid slow growth in jewellery sales.

The company, which stocks brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe and TagHeuer, brought in £402 million during the period. Luxury watch sales were up 22% to £340 million.

It will bounce back tomorrow when it breaks in the newpapers (strangely)....

You'd think excluding the exceptional items in last years accounts a similar FY revenue (as stated in the December RNS) would generate a reasonable profit this year, which should see an impressive re-rate.... if the fall last year is anything to go by.

Do you really believe Art has had communication with random PI's, as I struggle with that concept.

Agreed, but I'm trying to work out whether that's in line with the September or December RNS, as September was technically a "warning" about H1 results which was factual.

£22m exceptional expenses in last years results due to IPO and other associated costs (share options), but without those this year, could we return to profit.... and what impact on share price when announced??
