If you are, I would be grateful if you could ask Mr Darby how he can justify his large rewards package after failing to move shareholder value forward one iota. Since rejecting the McCormacks offer two years ago, the share price has fallen from around 50p to it�s current level of around 35p. He promised 4% sales growth....all he has delivered is two profit warnings. I really can�t see how he is still in his job....please will you ask him for me ?

Two problems with a cash call: 1. The SP is too low. 52p last time 2. Last time he did one, it cost him millions in fees I could be wrong of course !! I remember sitting here one year ago, thinking the results will be a game changer.....one year on....the game is the same !!

2 weeks before the results, after 2 profit warnings, the PFD share price was 42.75 This year, after no profit warnings, the PFD share price is 37 Where is the logic in that ??

Love it.....I wonder if GD will use the tried and tested ones on the 15th....or maybe he will come up with some new ones. Maybe we could suggest a few for him on here. How about wrong date for the royal wedding ? Or he put the wrong pair of socks on ?

Fairly similar here. Retired at 62, now 68. Spent last 13 years of my working life at Premier Foods.....hence the current pain !! As you say...�this time next year�

Totally agree with that, Old Timer. It seems to me that personal responsibility does not exist any more. It is always someone else�s fault. If we eat too much, get fat and die....it�s the fault of the people that made the food. If we smoke, get lung cancer and die, it�s the fault of the people who made the cigarettes.....and so the list goes on. Get rid of the nanny state and bring back personal responsibility!! Judging by your name, you are probably an old timer.......so am I !!!!

I guess if and when they ever pay a dividend. I have a couple of mates who work for Hovis, and one of them reckoned that Premier would be looking to sell their share this year. There is very little sign of that happening though.

I guess that I have never properly understood the Capital Management Agreement with WED. Do WED need MAGP to stay alive, for them to get their hands on the rest of the $18.5m ? Or can they simply find another partner if MAGP go under ? Is the reason that they have only drawn down half a million so far because they fear Magp�s demise ? Can anybody help ?

Hi Oldtimer That seems a reasonable scenario. What makes you think that anything, other than the actual results, will happen at results time ? It would be interesting to know about the current relationship between GD and Nissin. They must have been best mates two years ago....I wonder if that has changed. Also we still don�t know what happened to cause Oasis to pull out of their agreement. All very interesting......but we really need to see some action !!!

Hi Oldtimer Found this definition of closed period. DEFINITION of 'Close Period' The time period between the completion of a listed company's financial results and the announcing of these results to the public. The close period is typically regarded as the one-month period preceding the release of a company's quarterly results, and the two-month period before the release of its annual results. Results on 15th May, so on that basis, he has been a naughty boy......but I guess it depends on which rule he is following. Also I am not sure what the penalty is for breaking the rule......but as you say, he surely wouldn�t have done it if he wasn�t expecting some positive news.

In exchange for the place in the boardroom, the activist agreed to build its stake up to 10pc by the end of June, and to keep a holding of between 7pc and 15pc of Premier longer term. This deal will be terminated next Friday, the two companies announced yesterday. Analysts at Jefferies said: �Oasis� future intentions are unclear to us, but might embrace either a review of their ownership position or a more aggressively activist stance.� I like the aggressive bit !!

Obviously didn�t like what they found - Derby ? If they sell their 10% at these prices, they will be looking at a hefty loss.
