At 31.9p......where is GD when you need him ??

I have just written to my contact in Oasis, asking them to get together with Paulson and to get rid of the useless chairman and the rest of the board, and replace them with a team who will sort out this mess.

Have had another little nibble.....over 12% now

According to the FT, that means he was told to go....it used to be called “sacked” when I was a lad. It was also called the unacceptable face of capitalism.
Anyway....to put a positive spin on it.....at least he has GONE

I think that the RNS is saying that PSG have sold those shares, not bought them. They crossed below the 5% threshold.

Without GD......I wonder what the future holds ?

Totally agree with that. I am sick of hearing from the BBC what a disaster we are heading for. It’s about time that our public service broadcaster got behind the country instead of being a mouthpiece for the doomongers.

Ps. It’s GD’s last day today.....I can just see him now, stuffing his pockets full of cheap shares, knowing that his successor can’t possibly make such a hash of shareholder value as he has.

I had a reply from the chief exec at oasis a few days ago. See below:

As predicted on here. The only good news is that GD is still going.
I love his excuse on international sales. Apart from two significant set backs, international sales would have been up by 5%. Typical GD.

Group sales for Q3 last year were up 4%. Can’t see them matching that this time. I will be happy with growth of any sort.
Do we get to find out about the new CEO ?
Along with most of the speculation on here, I am expecting a current employee to get the job

Not holding my breath. Last year was on the back of a poor quarter the year before. Supermarket sales over Christmas have been disappointing this time. Fingers crossed

No news of a trading update next week. Nothing in my Sunday paper about a trading update. Do they usually release an rns telling us when the update is going to be, or do they just do the update ?
Any bets on it happening next week ?

A lot of what Julian38 says is true. Schofield can certainly be blamed for buying RHM with borrowings rather than a rights issue.....having said that, he wasn’t the only one who didn’t see the financial crash coming.
I agree with dogscott, that GD could have handled the bid from McCormick a whole lot better. He was obviously talking to Nissin at the same time, and that was the horse that he backed.
If you judge it all on the sp then GD is guilty as charged. The sp at the time of McCormick/Nissin was around 52p....it is now 32p

Hopefully that will be the case.....unless GD has changed his mind !!
