I am clinging on to that in the hope that something is just around the corner......but how much longer should we wait ?

Well done to the team.
As already stated, I suspect that these numbers are behind the recent SP rise.....still hoping for a bit more. I also suspect that the lack of news on the strategic review means that the result is “no major changes to strategy”
It also means that all of the recent good news, which hasn’t resulted in a major shift in SP must make us an attractive takeover target. Let’s not forget it’s 3 YEARS now since McCormick !!!!

We won’t get any ebitda info on Friday, it’s only a trading update, so usually only sales info.
They might mention the strategic review, but I doubt we will get any details.
My bet is that the result of the strategic review will be carry on as we are......I hope I am wrong on all of the above !!!

If my theory is correct, and it involves selling batchelors to Nissin, I am thinking they wait until the election result is clear......any views ?
The result of the election may have a significant influence on the value of Sterling.
Might Nissin want to move before a Tory victory or wait to see if it’s either labour or a hung parliament, in which case the pound takes a dive

The general consensus seems to be that PFD have started to turn things around. We have a new top management team in place and two activist shareholders who both have seats on the board and seem intent of increasing shareholder value.
As part of the recent half year results presentation (which were better than expected) there was the hint of a possible dividend next year.
Obviously do your own research....but my view, for what it’s worth, is that we are heading in the right direction now.......but I have been wrong before !!!!

I agree. That’s why I think that they should force Nissin into action over bachelors....maybe by threatening to sell it to someone else ?

What I am saying is that Nissin should pay over the odds for batchelors. In other words a very generous price for Pfd.
That would mean Pfd could pay down more debt, which in turn would increase the Value of Nissin’s shares.

You heard it here first:
Sell batchelors to Nissin at a very, very generous price. Reduce the debt with the proceeds. Nissin get their money back from a significant increase in the value of their 20% shareholding
