WOS, there was never any possibility of a raise yesterday. It wasn’t allowed before the resolution passed. I expect of no JV partner forthcoming in the coming months that a raise will be undertaken. MB will say they have decided to go it on our own.

I don't see the SP going materially north from here for the rest of 2025 (bar the occasional P&D like last week) unless there is some kind of JV or TO. Which is a possibility. Complete finger in the air, but I'd give that a 10-20% chance.

The refinery is irrelevant to MATD, for the foreseeable future at least. As MB said last year, timelines for these things continually slip, so expect it to be 2030. That is certainly how MATD should be looking at it, which I think they are. In five years, I don’t think MATD will be around… it’ll be boom or bust, as most AIM stocks are. So yes, irrelevant to MATD.

A huge u-turn from many on here, now happy with slow and steady and not a gazillion wells and barrels of oil each year.

Abzzba, maybe elaborate on your post then as to why we’ll see production from Gazelle and what numbers, not mixed in with Heron 1?

MB said clearly that he didn’t expect any partnership, if one is agreed at all, would be in time for the 2025 drilling season. So does not suggest very soon at all.

We have extremely limited information on Gazelle, impossible to say it will produce at all at this stage. Total guesswork and no should about it!

Oh well, the end of another disappointing day in MATD world. I think 0.5p is a bit harsh but I do expect us to drift lower and maybe form new lows.

However, there is a chance we might just JV. I just wish MB had answered my question on whether we had approached these three parties or us them. It makes a big difference… if they’ve approached us then I’d be quietly confident. But we don’t know. Did MB miss my question (he answered my other questions) or just ignore it, which would probably tell us everything we need to know. I do see that a JV from here makes total sense with the problem being we’re not in a great negotiating position but also that MB strikes me as someone who would hold out for a good deal and negotiate well.

And rampers - stop stressing so much. Surely you want the negs to trash the SP so you can buy more shares and be even more rich when the “massive rerate” comes.

Unnd is absolutely right. We are in cost saving mode because we have no cash and a raise at these levels would be disastrous. Although I still think it is something they’ll ultimately go ahead with in the absence of a JV/partner.
