bogroll, Manolis was a SA citizen and my understaing was that this share purchase regulation/restriction still applied. Not aware of any shares post AIM listing that were directly in his name?. My overall point though was, as you say, that Visagie and Hansie cannot purchase/hold shares directly in their names. Jolly, Agree, I think, although ain't got a clue what your on about :). GL DD

Jolly SA citizens cannot purchase shares in Companies where they are directors (from research other posters have cited). Hence Manolis the former CEO purchased shares through trusts (Artemis and Kilo trust I believe). So will never really know 100% when / if Visagie and Hansie have purchased any shares outside the normal closed periods. GL DD

On Monday, a stake of almost 1.2m shares, some 7.6pc of the company, passed from long-time shareholder Lazard to investment firm WMG, which was founded by veteran investment banker and Cardiff City FC chairman Mehmet Dalman. The shares were sold at 130p apiece and Panmure closed flat at 128p on Tuesday. Given that Mr Dalman, who was formerly chairman of controversial miner ENRC, and Panmure boss Phillip Wale go back a long way, his investment is perhaps unsurprising. Good morning to you. Agree, it's like banging your head! - Don't know about yourself but my recent AIM (GARP'ish rather than true ZP) investments not yet shown there potential, FTSE ones doing ok. Mind you it's no wonder my AIM are struggling with the AIM index down 16% over the last 12 months - has to recover at some point, maybe Santa's rally will provide the impetus. It's hard finding ZO stock, not many out there that are still under valued IMV, mind you that's part of the challenge and enjoying every bit of it (so far!). As posted here in October.......just less than half a ton of crude oil is used to make a ton of PVC, given that the price of oil has dropped 25% since June (and forecast to drop even further) then this has to be very good for SFE in reducing their manufacturing costs and increasing profit margins. Oil has now dropped to nearly 50% since June!!, yep 50%.....thats "buy one get one free!", I said, buy one......lol. DD

Believe the change in name from Helphire to Redde was the 23rd May, sp opened at 5.95p and closed at 5.8p. The 1 to 10 share split was on the 27th May, sp opened at 58p and closed at 59.25p. ChequeMate - didn't Robbie Burns only hold these for a short while (about a month) and sold at a small loss. GL DD

AA, It was from the Oct RNS, being pedantic (no offence Steve) but the exact words were: ...."with a view to identifying a joint venture partner before the end of 2014". Could be interpreted as being their wish but it still may not happen before the end of the year. Let's hope their wish comes true though. If it is a yes on 30th Nov, as you know they will need to increase their gold reserves by 1,500 tonnes (about 300 tonnes per year). This represents about 7.5% of the annual gold demand..........so there should be a surge in the price of gold, how much?, who knows. Russia has been buying gold, 37 tonnes in September, and It is rumoured that China's Central bank has been buying recently, also India's gold imports doubled in the third quarter of this year. Since 1994 believe the best months for gold price movement is Sept and November, about +3.5% and +2% respectively.
