jc15, Not certain but it may have something to do with the 15% Dutch withholding tax that applies to A share dividends, the increased share price mitigating the tax levy so that the economic interest in the business for both types of share is equalised over time (don't know for certain just guessing). Both types of share carry the same rights, it's only the tax liability on the dividends that are different. DD

Have checked the past 5 years of quarterly ex-div dates to see what the sp action is like (open/close prices). It looks like about 30% of the time the sp doesnt fall on ex div day. Would guess that some shorts are closing today to save having to pay for the divi. DD

The Forsey and USC affair is another example of the press making a mountain out of a mole hill. Proof of this is clear based on the English legal systems penalty for such an infringement, which must have Forsey (& MA) quaking in their boots on the 14th March....................a maximum penalty of £5,000, whoop whoop whoop!. Didnt know you were un here, but nice to see you are. No offence but why sell when this is in recovery mode and expect IMV to turn an operating profit of about £3m for FY16. This is vastly undervalued in my view and with gold turning into a safe haven at the moment its all the better for GDP's bottom line. DD

Many thanks CM for your wise words, appreciate you taking the time to pass on your experience. It's been an eye opener to say the least. Think my biggest challenge at the moment is holding my nerve, it's soul destroying though watching your profits turn to losses week after week, especially after putting in so much effort with endless research, etc. My next challenge will be to recover some self confidence and believe that this is actually a time to relish and grasp the opportunities with both hands - all very easy to say but not so easy to do!. Just for the troll: Year end April 2015 : turnover £590k, operating loss before tax £972k. No directors receive remuneration through MASH Aviation (the troll will still say they have fat bonuses but won't be capable of proving this). Do know how much SPD were charged for the use of the helicopter...........but the troll can find this out for itself (ps other customers also contributed to the yearly turnover!). DD

Stuzeeuk For the last time I'm NOT INVESTED HERE. The chalets are not paid for by SPD they are lent gratis to SPD staff. The use of a private helicopter not owned by SPD should be paid for otherwise there would be a conflict of interest. I'm happy with both of these inconsequential points you seem to have serious issues with. It's a utter waste of time discussing this with somebody that clearly has personal issues and has a complete mental block. filtered. DD

Know what you mean - stopped out of two and your spot on, you give it 10% then hope it bounces the next day, but it doesn't and within a couple of days it can easily be 20%. Only been investing for about three years so this is my first experience of such market volatility and significant declines - hope to learn a lot (have already!) and also hope I can recover what I've lost by picking up some nice bargains, providing that is that my timing is a lot better than it has been. stuzeeuk, Don't think you can read, MA is not paid a SALARY, how many more times. I'm not paid as you put it because I'm not invested here - but capital growth will do me as and when I do decide to invest. Likewise I've not lost a penny because I'm NOT invested here. Have factually supported my views to counter argue your complete drivel and to be honest I'm getting bored of your utter lack of understanding of how businesses operate. Are you seriously saying that the founders and family run businesses that get listed can no longer employ any blood relatives?, that would apply to hundreds if not thousands of listed companies. They do disclose anything that may be deemed to be a conflict of interest:- "The Board has set procedures to deal with Directors’ conflicts of interest that arise. During the year the Board reviewed and, where appropriate, approved certain situational conflicts of interest that were reported to it by Directors, and a register of those situational conflicts is maintained and reviewed. The Board noted any transactional conflicts of interest concerning Directors that arose and were declared.
