Fcuk knows. I had assumed they are forecasting the future and have taken onboard the RI, thus a real term 7% uplift in share price but a downgrade to equal weight.

To be honest Barclays have never been on the ball as far as ENQ is concerned, how could they be, going from 24p (if memory serves) to 60p about 6 months after everyone else re-rated, so personally I take no notice of broker forecasts in terms of share price (unfortunately today however the market has.......but a 25% reduction in their target price has resulted in only a 3% change today!!).

Cuts to equal weight from overweight, target price has in effect gone up when take into account the RI - which I assume they would have done given it was announced a week ago.
Correction to my previous post (thought their previous target was 58p not 60p), so they have increased mk cap from £712m to £762m, an increase in value of 7% and the sp drops - crazy!.

Crazy, Barclays pre rights gives market cap £688m, post RI (I.e. today’s forecast) market cap £762m.

COMPLETELY DISAGREE. You need to know that squif is AB’s love child, he, AB that is, has flatly denied this despite numerous litigations and apparent DNA testing (squif managed to get AB to kiss his hand at one AGM by dressing up as a voluptuous lady with a monkey on her/his shoulder - apparently it reminded AB of such a pet he had as a child). Anyway, squif has been trying to prove his blood line in order to gain some of AB’s millions/billions and also to impart on AB all of his in depth knowledge of the O&G industry. Suffice to say that over time his bitterness towards AB has grown and grown, particularly as his initial investment here (which was made out of some weird sense of family/bastard loyalty) turned sour and he lost all of his pocket money, he has now made it his life’s goal to short this and take every opportunity he can to insult and demean his alleged father......so basically his contribution is worth a big fat zero. Im now happy to report however that he married the monkey and both reside happily within my troll cage and are surviving solely on marital bliss, bananas, monkey nuts (teehee) and my wedding gift comprising of 6 moths supply of K Y jelly and a miniature fez hat (for Mrs squiffy the monkey).

From my broker dropped through the letter box today, will be taking up my full rights ASAP.

Think L3 you mentioned iffy squiffy posting up something about $2bn debt funding $700m equity or something along those lines, what iffy squiffy constantly does is look back rather than forwards. Im more than happy trying to look ahead because all I see when I work out NAV per share and eps is that this is cheap and I should (hopefully) double my money.
Talking about what fair value is I don’t suppose fernan has worked it out yet and posted it up?.........still find it very strange that he works out all the outgoings and debt within hours of results, but as to what this is worth,sweet fa, he holds?.

Hi Matt, agree, excellent results again and the buyback plus weak sterling really helping eps growth.
Have pencilled in 182p eps for year end based on this mornings numbers, so an undemanding PE of 15 gives at least £27. As you say £30 wouldn’t be too outlandish.

Ps Can somebody tell me if Fernan has posted up what fair value is here, in his oppinion!.........not holding my breath, strange he posts up everything within hours of results other than eps and what fair value is, surely as a holder that’s the be all and end all, well IMHO it is anyway.

If all of the 508m shares are not taken up then the shortfall is covered by the underwriters......who obviously know a good thing when they see it!.

L3 - If you want to take on board the info a person posts which is $75m out on earnings then knock your socks off. Have asked more than once what he thinks fair value is, tbh if he spends days crunching numbers and is 25% out then would sooner not know anyway, hence filtered.

Fernan will never give the sp value as that doesn’t suit his agenda here. You, and others, may enjoy page after page of his analysis but I don’t, so back in the cage he goes.

I will answer for you. Based on your analysis it comes to an eps of about 5.7p, with a PE of 8 that’s 45.6p.
Comments? - I doubt it somehow. I’m beginning to think you are a very subtle deramper. For all your number crunching your forecasted EBITDA was out by more than those (Jan for one) who apply the.BOTFP method of accounting.

50kboepd H2?, it’s 46kboepd to average 50k for the year. Take your point though - I feel like E121 that they are being conservative with their guidance.
Still about 5.5p eps on a PE of 8 = 44p, so still 30% upside IMO.

Where’s Fernan’s post giving his sp valuation?!......must have missed it, yeah right.
