Doesnt look like they are zero trades but low volumes, the venue of execution for those trades are coded as SINT which is System Internaliser - don’t know which investment firm it is or how exactly such frequent trades are carried out on their own accounts for a client. Above my pay grade.

If you look on the London Stock Exchange there were no zero volumes but the MIC (Market Identifier Code was SINT for the ones that were logged on here as zero trades for some reason).

Thanks for the info, I’d got about 650 but will wait and see what info I get back, probably next week I’d guess. But yes not a significant capital requirement but it’s still something they have to retain in addition to everything else.

Don’t know why you appear agitated, you brought up the issue about the capital requirement and how it would be very detrimental to TEP, when in actuality if you had bothered to do yiur research it’s not an issue at all. What you should have focussed on IMO is which companys will it be an issue to and how that could benefit YU. But you seem completely incapable of looking outside the box, it’s probably your tinted glasses that hinder your vision!.

Just FYI having had a Quick Look it doesn’t look like YU do supply many domestic properties, have checked some of the SOLR data and also emailed someone to confirm the numbers if they can. Will post up then you can assess the potential capital requirements for YU.

PS shouldn’t be an issue should it as you’ve already stated they will have £160m net cash by FY26, pmsl.

Constantly saying their numbers will mean the sp will rocket and other such claims when the exact opposite has occurred. CNA has increased its energy supply to businesses and their operating margin is also higher than YU, plus they have numerous other operations providing income other than energy supply. IMO I haven’t a clue which way this could go on the 18th, as I’ve posted below, but I definitely wouldn’t say downside risk is mitigated.

My understanding of the Ofgem common minimum capital requirement is that the £115 is the top limit. TEP have loan agreements in place for £183.5m, cash £71m, NAV of £228m. I’m not too certain if they also have a RCF in place that’s undrawn. But basically they are financially sound IMO and have sufficient capital to meet the new requirements. The new Ofgem regulation on capital has been talked about for a few years now so no surprise to anyone.

Completely false. In Sept 2024 (and prior) SP Angel forecast £668m revenue for FY24, following the TU they revised their forecasts to a revenue of £645m.

Brokers forecasts which are paid for by YU, plus they have missed their previous income forecast for FY24. Other forecasts have been out too as previously posted, net cash out be 24% if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks for posting though, they do mention in the outlook: “With the commodity cycle likely to wash through soon, the base effect of this means that future revenue growth will be more correlated with volume growth”

This is basic stuff and shouldn’t have to explain to an experienced investor like your good self……BUT wholesale gas prices are on the whole always higher during the winter months (black swan events aside naturally), supply and demand and all that, you do know that don’t you?, you do know what month it is too don’t you?

UK gas price two years ago was c 122p, it peaked so far this year at c 143p, it’s now about 32% lower and support has been broken.

Rather than trying to counter my postings with garbage why don’t you actually digest what it is you are posting as its complete garbage.

As for the UK gas price is clearly in a downtrend, a 32% fall in a matter of weeks following the Tango man pushing for peace in Ukraine. The support at 100 has been broken, wouldn’t be surprised looking at the chart to see 55-60 at some point.

Would someone please tell 2227 that he’s posting up the US gas prices, not the UM.

Ffs the guy is so desperate to ramp that he’s not even comprehended that’s it’s 100% irrelevant to YU….oh unless they have expanded to supply AMERICAN companies with energy, have I missed that RNS?.

You mention that NAV will be the “eye catcher” for their FY24 numbers. Whilst you are correct that NAV is likely to increase to £135m, so yes their NAV value per share will increase compared to previous years, as will their NTAV, but it’s only because of the £50m cash collateral handed back to them.

From their H1 cash flow statement you will see that the actual cash generated by the business is virtually zero when netting off this collateral and comparing to H1 FY23. likewise the net increase in cash after deducting the collateral is about £6m less than the prior H1 period. It depends obviously on how one views the cash collateral element, I still maintain that some cash still needs to be withheld to comply with their new liquidity covenant, is it £50m, is it less or is it more I have zero evidence to say but I’m simply going on their failure to invest any decent amount of their cash or to distribute a decent chunk to shareholders, plus what’s in it for Shell other than some margin on the energy they sell to YU. Could be completely wrong but their working capital is circa £30m (from H1 so with NIC etc could be higher in FY25), so let’s see how much of their cash they actually distribute. IMO as Sparky keeps posting a £10m’ish buyback could be possible who knows, certainly not me or anyone other than the BoD.
