PJ, perhaps he is thinking of proving up a license with some positive drilling results and selling on in order to finance the CS Project.......

Statement from Half-year report 29 May :-
In the 12 months leading up to the date of this report the US dollar gold price has seen a 29% increase. In the coming weeks we will look at the best way for shareholders to benefit from this. We already hold a portfolio of highly prospective gold and silver projects which, we believe, have been overlooked by the market and we will consider some limited drill testing of selected projects in order to unlock the value they represent for the Company and its shareholders.
Our commitment to bringing the CS Project into profitable production remains our priority and this will be the focus of our efforts over the coming months.

LOL Panama, same as you, I jump well away from the desk waiting for the time to run out on my rare dummy buy/sell checks - in my case its because I effed up once and it cost me greatly...... so I learnt the hard way!

It wouldn't be a great idea for Mozambique to completely screw a UK company and likely put off other international investors in future - perhaps they are helping the General get a better deal by rejecting the last appeal. The UK government have also pledged various monies to Mozambique of late so this kind of action would threaten future (perhaps current) support I would think. I'm sure they'll 'benefit' somehow as well outside the usual parameters of the project getting off the ground. Not great news of course but I'm still happy to wait this out as I see a profitable outcome ahead regardless.

I wouldn't sweat it Daniel :-) I just make sure I'm in a quality investment and try not to focus on the short term fluctuations - we have a very strong product set here that fits in well with the current and post covid-19 world and already had a lot of prospects way before this unfortunate virus. Once things pick up and the international expansion continues we'll fly I'm sure, many are chasing covid stocks at the moment for instantaneous gain - I'd rather position myself for the mid to long term.

Could just be quiet because of half-term and a couple of weeks before the next set of results, not the only board I watch that's gone a bit quiet :-)

You have to wonder about the moderation policies on these forums sometimes on here, ADVFN etc. as you get some vile posting etc. far worse than PJ is posting (especially one explorer stock on ADVFN) - PJ is more annoying than anything else. I almost wonder if its thought to be beneficial for the sites in terms of engagement etc.........

Hi mickey, spy - I also think that the deal is not finalised but definitely both parties are discussing matters in increasingly specific terms as the results come in - hence the actions GH has taken of late with Hannam and the interview, I am kind of conflicted about the interview but increasingly feel it was more for shareholders benefits rather than a strategy play against Newcrest.
SB - I wasn't proposing we have anything to be unhappy about if they buy our stake in Hav - will be a nice number - not one that leaves a sour taste in our mouth at all.
This is just the best move for both parties as we need to make a sacrifice of sorts now, as you have to make your plays based on your negotiating power at the time. Newcrest shareholders will want proven assets and be less willing to pay for those that haven't been so - hence my theory that they'll be more focused on just Hav.
