I agree Bucky, quality of moderators to assess complaints and then apply the policy is somewhat of an unpredictable factor........
AI is moving into this and so many tasks eventually so I wonder how that will go as a random aside, I once researched AI in video subtitling use and it was disturbing realising how many tasks universally will be AI controlled in our lifetimes eventually......
LSE lets a lot of ramping and deramping go on as do most of the sites that I feel should be deleted instantly, silly arguments also amongst posters that many of us are guilty of I'm sure, including me :-)
In the end its about traffic and ad revenue alongside subscriptions for LSE and its peers - there is a boxing website I used to enjoy until it seemed that the site owners went on to employ one or two people to post articles under various identities that drove traffic and hits through being ridiculous and controversial :-))

Online forums often have assigned moderators (mods) so if a post is reported or perhaps through manual checking they will remove any posts outside the policy/behavioural guidelines set for that site/board.
Some sites might even have an algorithm that might automatically flags a first time poster (I would definitely do that on this type of site) for a check as lets face it - some new posters on LSE like to post questionable content :-)

Deffo mate, my reply last night to Daramunda was why I think we need patience in particular with Dev rather than an overall trading strategy - it just takes a lot of time and effort to rollout to so many geo's and I'm hoping to have got in early with a company that grows into a leading global player in the field in the next few years.
And being the tech sector, if there is a takeover (acquisitions of niche players by large firms is very common) - it is a good sector where potential is actually priced into the acquisition very positively. Only time will tell as they say :-)

Fair comment mate and I agree - this is the place to share your thoughts and discuss the market potential and/or tech involved in EdTech and VR in detail and the M&A and valuation potential for firms such as Dev :-)
My reasoning for my investment here is I feel we're looking at a market with far more potential for growth before maturation and I found Dev in Jan at just the early stages of firming up a partnership with Lenovo for a global rollout at around 2-3p range.
Since then.......well.......its all out there in the RNS's and company releases and media coverage.......the risk here in my mind is we'll see if Dev have what it takes to be a part of what is forecast to be phenomenal growth in this sector - so far I've been very pleased with their progress despite the pandemic and the agility (both in strategical terms and AGILE as in software development terms) they have shown - and look forward to seeing the numbers reflect that over the next 6-9 months as they aren't yet a huge firm in terms of resources - so despite the partnerships with Lenovo/Veative they will need time to rollout and develop their own infrastructure to support the client base - I suspect the staff there are flat out at the minute. Growing too fast can actually be lethal to a firm - it must be controlled and considered.
Localisation is also very time consuming process, even for large multinational corporations and a great deal of effort has to go into it for each geo you target in terms of regulatory, legal, technical and language requirements.

Arnie, zoom is still used extensively in the corporate world too mate, I had to use it for a few years and it was bloody annoying with constant audio dropouts and all sorts, MS teams is huge now though and kicking butt in terms of market share.

Absolutely Daramuda and its enjoyable to have a great debate with reasonable guys like Mrcautious without either of descending into childish argument like many boards:-)
We've had some fantastic news in relation to partnerships, acquisitions and II's and great examples of Devs own AGILE ability to innovate through the recent turmoil caused by the pandemic in both their product development and business strategy (of late PubPal) . What we will hopefully start to see over the next 6 months now is the fruits of that labour displaying itself in strong market penetration and growth that is validated in quantifiable results. Once it does I feel sure we'll see the larger moves in share price many are waiting for :-))
