Hi Prime, the best way to learn about investing is to dedicate some serious time to read up and experiment a lot in the early days with a simulator and then over time develop your strategies dependent on what amount of money and time available and your end goals. Knowledge about the sectors you invest in is important too if not day trading, I only recently went in heavy into commodities in Jan 2020 after having made time to research exploration, mining etc., on the otehr hand this sector is easy for me to analyse due to my professional experience
So much free content available online, Investopedia website for basic info, free online courses on babypips as examples and plenty of books from successful investors you can buy or download as ebooks. Not having a pop - but dangerous to be asking random strangers on boards and be playing with real money until you do mate. I mean, would you trust us idiots here with anything lol

There has been a disgruntled and banned poster who spent a few evenings last week using bots to spam various boards such as GGP and solg with hundred of messages that the mods were struggling to control else I assume his posts would have been removed sooner just as previous posts by likes of big Brenda etc. Must say that noticing far less rapid handling of idiotic antics on LSE, getting very tiresome.

I don't have Dicky's mystic abilities so can not predict if the prospectus is coming today or Monday and if we will then see 25 or 30p etc. in the next few days, certainly a very feasible outcome though if the market reacts well.
All through 2020 I just knew (as many others) to be patient and here we are at well above 20p bemoaning that we're not at 30p - what an amazing position to be in since Jan 2020!
Like any board we have our silly threads but there are plenty of sensible threads with some of us looking at the company and sector and having posted research that potential new investors should read through and links to follow to other research about EdTech and other pertinent subject matter. I am a bit fed up of repeating the same info. all through last year whenever we had disruptive posters tbh
Nothing is a 'definite' in investment but I strongly feel Dev is one of the rare opportunities to invest in a company that could experience insane growth in a very short period moving forward as 2020 to me was just the starters course - but DYOR and come to your own conclusions. You should only ever invest based on your own research and understanding of any company.

Hi Magic, perhaps some general guidance on how to approach analysing results, especially very early results such as today, for instance how much weighting should be given to them in the context of a planned ongoing campaign?

Elise, we are all disappointed but there is no need to be spiteful surely, it is difficult situations that always show ones true character, havieron is going no where and exploration is still ongoing at scally.

Patience will be needed Dazza no doubt as big delays in many labs due to an increase in exploration and staff shortages, same issue with a couple of my exploration related investments in Oz.
And I do agree with DK that completion of testing and negotiation for the CS Project will take further time although I am not particularly knowledgable in this area, I have put my personal expectations at the latter part of Q1, that way I won't get impatient and can focus on other things lol
Just consider what the potential is of a good outcome in your opinion and whether the current price suits you is my advice. Accurately predicting when news will drop on any investment is almost impossible as almost always seems to take more time than anticipated :-))

Plenty of potential here yet IMO and not selling any either despite getting in very low a year ago , congrats to those whom have hit their target to top slice etc. though. We all have differing risk profiles and strategies in investing, 2021 is going to be a great year and EdTech adoption and integration is only going to increase in the years ahead in our increasingly digital world :-)

Safe, I'm curious mate, did you hold onto a certain exploration company you bought into a few months ago as a friend did the same after seeing the gains I'd made during the year and he's a very happy bunny now. Just wondering if you ran out of patience as it was consolidating for a fair few weeks until a rapid climb to close off and end as one of the best stocks of 2020, think you'd be on 40 percentish profit if you've held on?
I do expect us to do very well here too once things click into place here, of course, nothing is guaranteed and its up to you or anyone else to buy or sell as they see fit, but as Dubs says it would be a shame to see you miss out as you are a very LTH from my understanding and certainly many are bemoaning not holding onto that stock as missed out on making 7 figures in some cases.
Again, no issue with me personally if you sell as your money and whomever buys will be more likely to hold buying in now, but genuinely feels so close to the next stage of the journey now.

Let's keep it civil on this board please so we avoid becoming like many other LSE boards :-)
The way I see it is anyone buying at these prices is less likely to sell in the immediate future, although very much a long term holder on my investments I really don't care if people top slice or trade especially as some may have pressing financial needs now we have another lockdown, it is a very hard time for many families.
We should count our blessings that many of us are in the fortunate position of having money to invest or trade as fits our personal needs and strategy :-)
