We still struggle with further SP traction because too many UK investors continue to believe that vaccine negates the need for this treatment. That the vaccine will destroy the chance of success here. Its almost as though people have taken Boris governments vaccine its ok pill swallowed it and thats it - all over. The Virus is vanquished! Its UTTER NONSENSE in the context of the continuing GLOBAL requirement for treatments.

I do believe that if this stock was on NASDAQ it would be multiples of this valuation. UK investors Just. Don't. Get. It.

Still very confident of JV completion. Too much work and effort and commitment undertaken already by both parties to let this mutually very beneficial arrangement slip.

Oriole (ORR) have an 11% stake in a TSD drill campaign in Djibouti W Africa (not the safest or friendliest mining jurisdiction going). Their best intersection to date 15m @ 4g/t. Their MC? £14m.

Compare that to COBR project stake, our MC and our best intersection to date at Clarke? Look I know it’s a pretty broadbrush comparison but you get my drift.....

Intra day RNS’s often get missed by investors. Even more so when they are not published promptly on investing platforms.

I suspect this will be a massive topic of discussion at the weekend.

moleman - get your facts right - Dalradian is in Northern Ireland. Conroy are (largely) in the Republic of Ireland. They’re two different countries you know. And FYI Republic of Ireland (where most of Conroy interests lie) is a top mining friendly jurisdiction - ranked 7th best in the world.

“Ireland will be the death of AAZ” - what the Merry f**k are you talking about. AAZ stands very tall on its own feet with or without Ireland. It seems to me you have a particular legacy beef with the Prof. You lost big there and are bitter. There can be no other explanation for your irrational outbursts.

Hi new to this board. I remember CB from what was then known as Jubilee Platinum (now Jubilee Metals). He wasn’t terribly popular then! But to be fair metals like Platinum were in a bear market at the time.

This is what Conroy said in relation to the JV way back on 30th November last year:

“Conroy and AAZ continue to work towards the goal of entering into a definitive, final joint venture agreement, however, the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions has resulted in progress being slower than expected. The Company will provide further update announcements at the appropriate time.”

The ‘delay’ was signposted to the market well before yesterday. I see all our JCL armchair experts didn’t pick up on this back then. So effectively nothing has changed. And the ‘issues’ are purely pandemic related and there is NO evidence to the contrary. Just fanciful stories being made up by bitter ex holders who lost money here.

No this will not open ‘massively down’ tomorrow. Don’t be a Drama Queen. Don’t get too excited that’s my advice to you. Keep a cool head and pick some of these up cheap ;). ‘Massively down’ Is 50% or more. It may well open down but NOT massively down. ‘Bigger shareholders’ (which I would include myself incidentally) would already know about the AAZ RNS. They wouldn’t find out tonight lol! Bigger shareholders make it their business to know what’s going on. Liquidity is poor here it is not possible to offload large blocks of shares without slashing the share price. Volume was higher today but not extraordinarily high and there were plenty of willing buyers.

Both parties want this deal to happen. It’s clearly delayed but there are very good reasons for both parties to want to complete and, let’s face it the Prof would be cutting his nose to spite his face by letting this one slip through his fingers.

We're witnessing a classic market overreaction to comments by AAZ in their operational update issued today.

Let's be clear, BOTH parties want this to happen and are committed to it happening. It is quite a complicated deal involving two separate legal jurisdictions (NI and IRE) and setting up three SPV's. AAZ have bought stock in CGNR to show their commitment. CGNR have been searching for a suitable JV partner for two years. It is definitely very much in the interests of both parties to complete the deal. AAZ are awash with cash ($38m) and can afford to be patient as they have no immediate need of resource expansion.

Ignore nonsense talk about people throwing their toys out the pram and subtle but clever deramping (to enable cheaper purchases).

This WILL happen. Why do I think that? Simple, because there is far too much riding on it for both parties - longer term. CGNR need the partner and their cash injection and AAZ need the diversification away from Azerbaijan and a new longer term resource and mine. A few weeks, or even months, is neither here nor there in the scheme of things here. The Gold will still be in the ground. It didn't expire at the end of 2020.

You could see by the trades pattern this morning that it was probably only a small handful of nervous holders that exited or trimmed. Watch the confidence slowly return as people realise the plug has not been pulled. What we are seeing is what we've seen elsewhere with a number of other explorers/mining companies where deals have been held up due to Covid, Brexit, increased regulatory issues/bureaucracy etc.

Interesting, and quite detailed update this morning on TMS with Frayne. There was no mention of an ongoing exploration plan for this year. I assume thats because they are happy enough with their current (high grade) resource for now and expansion of mine life, currently 9 years, will be achieved through further exploration down the line.

Summary:

Complete Environmental Permitting to include ESG and Mine Licence in H1
Offtake, financing and commence mine construction H2
Production in 2022

I'll eat my investing hat if they actually achieve all those stated milestones on plan but hey you never know lol....

Rocktapper - yes indeed and there is no question that travel/mobility has been affected by Covid. The war in Azerbaijan has had a considerable impact on AAZ managements attention as well as you say Brexit too.

Look I know this is a great opportunity for the Prophets of Doom to take the stage but all this talk about the Professor being stubborn and jettisoning the deal are utterly absurd. He, and his company have been actively seeking a JV partner for the past two years. This has got bugger all to do with the Professor. He WANTS this to happen BADLY. And AAZ are clearly still wanting it to happen too. This is business it has nothing to do with egos or toys being thrown out the pram.

What I would say to those making up stories on here that they nothing to back it up make the most of the chance to buy cheaper shares here.

Done a bit more research here. I see the CEO has some decent skin in the game @ 9.5%. I like that.

The shares were over a pound in 2017 (the LSE chart doesn’t go back that far).

And I see that 60p has been a long term resistance point so if we can conclusively break that on a weekly closing high....

There’s clearly money to be made here from this point with the CEO signposting a better 2021 and ‘exceeding’ his goals for the companies ‘roadmap’.
