Slightly surprising rise in SP today especially given yesterdays placing announcement.

Don't agree Phoebus though I know where you're coming from. I actually think it is very good that they are keeping us informed of events. Its ironic you should make this point because people normally complain because they don't know what is going on! They cant win can they? Anyway CB did mention something about drilling difficulties in the RNS yesterday. So this confirms. This is all part of exploration, mining, its part of the risk.

jackthebear - I would take it one step further from yourself, iceberg, Frog etc. On AIM it is about TIMING. Pick the right stock? Yes of course. Ensure you get a good price? Definitely. But ultimately, following the two previous criteria the critical piece to complete the jigsaw is TIMING. This gives you the quickest gains in the shortest time. And, if we were all honest we'd all like that wouldn't we? Rather than have to sit and wait for two years or more for something to happen.

It is perfectly possible to achieve the above but you have to have an understanding of the stock, its management, research is crucial. In my experience there is another factor. Its when you intrinsically 'know' a stock, it's SP. You know how it behaves broadly speaking. That can make you money too, a bit like technical trading but less about the technicals but the 'behaviour' of a SP.

I think what we need here, as iceberg and Frog have correctly identified here is patience. Let the whole thing play out now. It's certainly not a one trick pony which is good so there is not a binary outcome from the Bushranger drill - either way.
I think if you are buying here now at this valuation, with so many prospects and projects on the go, in a commodities and PM bull market you've got a pretty decent chance of success.

SP been up majority of day. Right on cue, as it has done in the past several trading sessions along come a block of A trades in the last 30 secs of trading to ensure the closing price is DOWN.

It really stinks what is going on here. It’s not just today the same thing has been happening day after day.

Perhaps someone has had a word in CB's ear and suggested he tone down his excitement a little and be more measured. Its interesting that he has calmed down a bit since the expert geologist has got involved. Now thats not to say he has said anything negative - has said it's 'BIG'. But these guys don't deal in hyperbole just in the facts in the ground.
At the end of day its just semantics. The facts are they are still drilling. They haven't reached the other side (end) of the mineralisation zone yet. Most importantly now they are trying to work out how to model the porphyry system.

Seems all good to me.

the iceberg - I do not consider myself to be either an expert or an authority on these matters. However, I am a keen learner and I am learning as go along.

What I do know is these RNS’s HAVE to be approved word for word by a suitably qualified geologist.

It is apparent to me, or indeed was a couple of weeks ago, that this is a significant discovery. Quite possibly a ‘monster’ as a few notable people have described. Yes we do need to see the grades but read between the lines. The clues are all there. There is enough information available now to make a reasoned judgment.

The point is this is only the FIRST hole! And they seemingly have hit the proverbial jackpot.

The markets reaction might confuse some, might put off some. To me it is an amusement. Almost comical when you think about it. As if this isn’t real, it’s a conspiracy put together by Colin Bird.

Just wait for the placees to finish taking their 10% profits... and then wait for the market to suddenly wake up to this. It maybe the next announcement that will do it. It may take a few more. I can wait. I ain’t going nowhere!

And the placees can sell into the modest rise again ....

Hi Truro, yes I don’t doubt they’re prudent to do this (small) cash raise. They do seem very cautious about prospects for this year. More so than myself I have to say. Better to underpromise and overdeliver though.

The games and the manipulation continue here. All the time volume is low they can play it. ‘A’ trades took this down from 170 to 162 in the flicker of an eye. You can’t tell me that is normal price action. Ever since we got entered into Activ-2 this has been happening. Those US of A Yankee boy shorters. Maybe the Reddit mob will turn their attention on this ....

Worth just reminding ourselves that the AA 80% buy out clause is for the Racecourse prospect ONLY. NOT for the whole Bushranger area. Just take that in for a bit.....

When you put it like that it feels very exciting indeed. AN has been highly professional in managing investors expectations though. He is saying Q2 - April at the earliest. But there is absolutely no precedent for this situation. So it could be later or it COULD be earlier. Who knows. One thing I do know and that is I want to be in this stock when the announcement drops.

No Cygnus7 Investors have EVERY reason to be excited here. Your quote :

The question I would ask you is did Newcrest (who bought into SOLG) just 8 months after the Cascabel discovery demand a 'proper JORC assessment before they did so? Did BHP demand a proper JORC assessment before they made an investment proposal to SOLG just two months later in Oct 2017? Those were still relatively early days in the discovery and SOLG were by still drilling in the same area with multiple rigs. I see NO evidence that a JORC resource had been established.

So what I am saying is a Major, ANY Major could make a move for this in the next few months. Indeed, IF it is confirmed as a major discovery I have NO doubt a Major, possibly a few, will be all over this discovery.

So sorry Cygnus but this is very exciting and will quite possibly get even more exciting whatever you say.

The_Frog - there can’t be any other explanation for the SP action post this afternoon’s highly positive RNS than continuing Placing churn. It was notable the regular but spaced out 250k sell trades printed. Orderly selling into the market to help sustain the price against the retail investor demand. That’s why the SP did diddly squat after what was very bullish news!

How long it will continue? Who knows how much there is left to churn. But it is finite and could be sometime next week.

I think Colin Bird has been very wily. He’s played the market on both sides. He’s kept shareholders happy with frequent updates but in doing so he’s also kept the SP up enough for his placees to exit quietly with their 10/15% profit, which was all part of the deal to get the £5m!

Ok I’ve thrown the kitchen sink at this. Just taken another 500k (half a mill) shares.
