Condor's developer, Mark Child, believed that the original Soviet assessment of the La India & other deposits surveyed in Nicaragua were far less than reality. He set out to prove this hoping that his assets would attract buyers and make a good profit. Imho he did not intend to spend out on actual mining. After much exploratory drilling, a lot of years and much money spent/ share dilutions he proved there was indeed more potential but meantime the demand for buying had eased off. So admin costs continued while the sp tumbled away until the only way forward was for the Company to develop the fields itself. They have obtained permissions etc and at long last the sp has started to rise...but it's been a rocky ride for investors and still has a long way to get back to its former 90p level. Condor also has interests in El Salvador but "had the lid slammed" on these when the Government supported the belief that mining metals would adversely affect the water supplies of its people and implemented a total ban in 2017.

Hi ASH and you are wise to amass cash at the present time. I'm not convinced of the wisdom of "coming out of lockdown" at the present time. Significantly it seems to be those mostly "to the right" who are either pushing for it or actively demonstrating for it. Quite simply it's the priority of the "Follow the Money" brigade. New Zealand's PM had it right from the start and locked it down well and truly. The Covid count and statistics leave no doubt.

There are three essentials imho which needs to be met before lockdown is phased in. Firstly the elderly and those with health issues should be fully protected at home or wherever they need to self-isolate with easy access to medics, care and delivery of their essentials. Secondly an effective treatment for the virus has to be sourced and made available to everyone. Maybe at that point some aspects of lockdown might be relaxed but, thirdly..., "normalizing" can only happen when a vaccine is to hand for all. Keep your Distance and Stay Safe.

I think Dr S's "giving us a great deal of optionality on developing our overall portfolio " equates to a lot of "wriggle room". We might get to 4-5p share price in 2021 if the MoU goes ahead and some more value plus regular dividends in the fullness of time, but methinks there could be a few static years for punters in between.

The airline is holding its own in these coronavirus times - hopefully better than UK ones. Remember there are no intercity passenger trains in Mexico and Volaris are determined to compete successfully with long-distance buses.

Maybe at this time and for the benefit of our "newbies" here (Welcome!) we need to re-visit this whole MoU concept which was announced (by RNS) last November 2019 stating " The proposed joint venture would be subject inter alia to due diligence, entering into binding agreements and shareholder approval, no later than the end of February 2020." Well...we are already over two months past that date and have now been advised that the matter has been extended to 30th June.

My understanding was that the original plan called for the new partner to invest a lot of money into the JV and that Ariana shareholders might receive an immediate cash dividend out of this injection of capital. However the new venture would only leave Ariana (and Proccea) as we know them with somewhere approximating 25-30% of the "influence" they have now in AAU.

Many of our contributors here welcomed a monetary-based expansion of the Company since it would enable much quicker development of the potential new mining areas (like Salinbas). For myself, I was attracted by the prospect of an immediate dividend pay out because my investment has taken several years to so far double its value (as at Christmas 2019) and I have not yet found the elixir of youth. However I did not want to see AAU taking on more debt or offering "placements" which can only dilute the value.

Johnpwh so far has never wavered from his opposition to the proposed new JV because he would prefer the present Company structure to continue and new mines to be developed using this Company's earnings from current & future doré production and sales even though it may well take many years before Salinbas (as just one possibility) is making us a lot of money.

However since this MoU was first put forward to us the whole thing has dragged two months beyond the original timescale and now we are being told the time has been extended to 30th June. For what seemed an opportune event it would appear there are perhaps some "issues". I certainly think that more and more good things and good news are becoming evident through Dr Sener's interim good information and podcasts. Frankly I am swinging more and more towards johnpwh's take on all this.

What we need to bear in mind, folks, is that sooner or later this proposed new JV may require a shareholder vote and many of us could be seriously involved so we have to get it right.

My own aspirations would be met if AAU gave me a cash or share dividend in good faith and as a reward for my longterm loyalty and investment. It could also propel our share price upwards - especially if it was repeated from production-related profits

Finally, there is a totally different aspect to this whole MOU which we have no inkling of. That is where Kerim personally sees his own future and to what extent this new partnership enables him to pursue his goals. Will he stay on the BoD but perhaps "abdicate" from day to day hands-on running of AAU and go back to geological

I'm not surprised at the delay to MOU and I do think that, with all the weeks that have expired since the potential partnership was first mooted, Dr S has revealed more and more future "positives"about our present and possible future mining. This might indeed mean that right now he has the hammer . For my part I want something financial back after years of waiting & hoping ...a large slice of the pie Willowman has mentioned would be fine this summer if indeed the MOU goes ahead and we get a divvi. I'd be equally happy if as you prefer, john, it all reverts to our original jv with Proccea. Hi C&B ...nice to see ya contributing again. Yes, I generally stay up late (our time) to check out my UK interests or chat with friends over there at the start of your day . Or I might have been out visiting, dining or hoping to meet Lady Luck in a casino. I try to check UK closing prices too (which approximates to my "getting up" time). Covid-19 has certainly put an end to social travels these days (and nights).. What you've just remarked upon followed my being disturbed by some sort of cat fight (bobcat or feral) outside so I thought I'd check out the Ariana sp at the same time. I sold some of my holding on a recent spike and am monitoring more than usual to see if I can perhaps increase my holding by buying in a little cheaper. Maybe the impending MOU (or lack of) could influence my thoughts? . Our weather right across the US is just crazy and I firmly believe it might be crossing the pond and messing ya'all up as well. In my patch of desert we have not experienced the extreme storms of the South or winter blizzards of the North and East which have been prevalent this year - but right now what we are getting is 42C (106F) heat in April which we would not normally expect until August. It has to be global warming and ultimately it must adversely effect our eco systems, water supply and our flora and fauna. Meantime our narcissistic clown in Washington (or Miami) imho rattles his golf clubs, enriches his dynasty and ignores the Paris Accord and most of the world governments and eminent scientists.

Good luck with that, Mm2015, although I don't know when you "got in here". I reckon realistically we might be a 5x bagger by 2022 if we've got to 5p by then. Your 10x bagger might indeed happen when Salinbas is fully producing but that could be another 5 years.

Good Morning, thomasc ...I've just got up and the forecast is for our fist 100F day this year (Global Warming is of course fake news, john!).

I'm rather wary of discussing another share on this chat board, thomas, but I hope ya'all will accept that Gold Royalty Companies are very much part of our mining scene and there is some subject relevance here.

Suffice to say that, from many views expressed over time here (LSE and ADVN) and after personally losing money chasing small AIM registered mining start-ups, I reached a conclusion that it might be more profitable to invest in the firms actually financing the "wannabees". Ya don't get too many shares in Franco-Nevada for your money and so I plumped for Sandstorm and, in hindsight, I've done okay so far . DYOR in reviewing their charts. I also bought just 18 Franco Nevada shares a couple of days back because of its name and where I live (lol). Finally, it will be interesting to see where Ariana SP goes tomorrow (being Friday when we Yanks tend to screw up share prices!). Regards DJ

When there is no news AAU share price trickles down slowly. With a potential "game-changing" deal in the background and no mention by Proactive the descent might accelerate somewhat. Gold price has nothing to do with it

I didn't intend to imply a conspiracy might be lurking via the MoU but it could be a way to quickly benefit everyone concerned, including shareholders, if the mystery "Third Party" had the finances to develop all the underground potential which Dr K and his Team have explored and discovered. Sandstorm acquired Mariana Resources and thus, if I am correct, a 30% interest in Hod Maden mining while Lidya Madencilik holds the rest 70%. Additionally (unless I am mistaken) Sandstorm has an agreement to get 1% initially and ultimately 2% royalties during the life of Tavsan. So far the "interested party" who seeks to control around 75% of Ariana (and hopefully pay us a dividend in the process) has not been named. All we have been told is that it is a Construction Company. Well....so is Proccea and they may have friends!

I reckon, VanVan, that you are trolling! Not the quarrelsome, disruptive kind Dear Chap but dragging a baited hook to see what you can lure in response . It is interesting that you mention Sandstorm and initially I thought it could be that Company which might be our "mystery" Third Party. I am invested in Sandstorm because I got fed up with my hopes being bruised and battered by the twists and turns of AIM minnow miners and oilies on these boards and it seemed more sensible to invest in a royalty firm and let them gamble with a spread of investments across a range of aspirant entrepreneurs. They can (and do) snatch them up complete with assets if they default so not all is lost.. I would have liked to buy into Franco-Nevada (the latter name appeals to my State patriotism) but they and Royal Gold bloomed very quickly into high value shares and I'm hoping the much cheaper Sandstorm will follow suit in due course. Either way if a royalty company is not directly involved in this impending MoU I think it possible that one could, behind the scenes, be manipulating a Third Party in a common interest.

Just a thought, folks. We are currently into a waiting game for a bit longer. Methinks you've opened Pandora's Box , VanVan.......and I also wonder what next week/next month will bring....RNS galore? Meantime gold price is slightly down and I'm earning more dollars for my £ pounds. Hi Slig. I have tried, unsuccessfully, on various chat blogs to seek out dicfromrugby (or richard as he named himself in the later appearances. He and I had many ...let's just say "differences"... primarily over the case (or not) for buying physical gold and dic's tendency to poke Uncle Sam in the eye and applaud Russia & China which usually did not go down too well with me. As you must be aware dic's spelling was something else (whether by ignorance or perhaps sheer rebelliousness) and he frequently made the excuse that he had been drinking. I got the impression that he was retired and elderly but went through times when he was "out of sorts". Sometimes he avowed he was Buddhist...but apparently not always!

I got my forecast right (from last Easter) at 3p this Easter. So....based on Ariana paying off debts any time soon, no nasty surprises popping up from the Third Party venture and the gold price climbing to $2000 I respectfully suggest our share price might make it to 5p by Easter 2021. Meantime keep your distance, stay safe and be nice.
