Slightly belated happy new year all. Despite knowing of the share suspension the wait for any sort of update continues to remain stressful.
On many an occasion I have expressed faith in DX but feel rather let down by management.
Certainly does not instil confidence for novices like myself.
Not that much can be done at the moment I am simply biding time and hoping that the suspension is lifted early in February so I am at least able to make an informed choice.
We all are in a frustrating position and have expressed emotions from disappointment to anger to frustration and management being inept in some respects.
Apologies, am clearly venting and hopeful of reading another post expressing confidence in a SP rise.

Been what feels like a lifetime since I posted here. So very interesting to read, absorb and learn the nuances of experienced posters and investors.

Notwithstanding the probable share suspension come 2022, a good day and end to a tumultuous year.

Sitting on 9% lose on 76k shares yet continuing to keep faith to some extent because of Meidar who adds a degree of PI confidence as far as I'm concerned.

Then again if there this may lead to a war of attrition I'd rather get out IF I could break even.

All in all I'll take where I'm at and wish everyone a very merry Xmas and hope for more cheer and clarity and in the new year.

Morning all.
It had been a tumultuous day but this morning's SP rise of almost 15% should bring some early xmas cheer.
I can't see there being a takeover of Cineplex for a number of reasons particularly in light of the breakdown of trust between the two companies.
I also believe there would quite a revolt from institutional shareholders in light of recent events.
As far as downward revision of the fine imposed goes, it would be highly unlikely for the Appeal Court would admonish the High Court for the imposition of a pecuniary fine.
We as shareholders must ride out another tough period and hold firm.

It's been, what feels like, years since I last posted on here.
The truth is that I expressed faith in the board and the company and bought in relatively cheap, watched the SP rise to £1+ and took my profit.
My suspicions were that the turmoil the company faced due to the legal battle, even without considering today's hellish judgement being handed down, would hugely knock shareholder confidence.
The appeal is merely a trade off for time.
Notwithstanding the costs involved, any appeal will only be successful if there has been a fundamental error in the application of the law, and unfortunately I do not see that being the 'case' here!
The next question to pose is, will the institutional lenders want to see the company being thrown to the wolves. Me thinks not either!
The above said I bought in at rock bottom today!
So why did I buy in?
Of course I believe in making hay, but I also believe in supporting the company during tumutuous times. So let's buck the norm!
Stay firm and leave negativity on the side lines.

Good to hear from you Ports. I didn't expect to hear from you after your last post. But I guess circumstances are quite different now.
I am hoping that when the Chairman buys then it's a positive sign rather than not. Furthermore, other posters saying it's a good time to buy also adds some weight to it being a buy.

I'm sorry to read the hit you took yesterday. At the same time you remaining positive based on figures is very encouraging.
Like I wrote earlier it was a shock to the old system, and I mean old literally, for me to take such a hit but I realise nowt in life is guaranteed.
Indeed the new variant has played a major part in pushing the market into a sea of red.
The entertainment and hospitality industries may feel the wrath more like they did the last time.
I completely agree that Grant Thornton have added to the woes of DX but I'm relying on the "figures being good" and keeping my fingers and toes crossed at the same time.

It's been quite some time since I posted on this BB and to see the SP collapse the way it did came as a real shock to me.
I'm a small novice private investor and to watch my investment drop by £7000 was heartbreaking as I had placed so much faith in the company.
Ultimately I can either withdraw the balance and put this down to a very bad experience or I can remain in and ride out the storm. I cannot invest any more as I haven't got any spare cash and nor do I want to risk any more.
My apologies for venting but the truth is that as a novice investor it's been a rather tough induction for me.
I take heed of many posters on here and that is a learning experience, so not all doom and gloom.
As for DXs management team and having read the comments and DMOR, I am going to continue to maintain faith in the company.

As for interpreting the upcoming figures, frankly speaking I'm as much as use as a chocolate teapot.
Like all of us, I'm hoping to see the SP head northward.
Best I staying tight lipped until I really understand what is actually going on with the markets. That my friends' is a very, very long way off!

Interesting listening to Jamie Constable particularly when he said Lloyd Dunn was a "logistics man through and through" and that he knew what he was doing.
Positive vibes but I've said this before only to watch the SP head southward.
It's a well known fact that logistics companies are somewhat in the doldrums but all investors pretty much know what they are buying into.
As Ports explained to me, it is a plethora of economic factors which determine the SP and we simply have to keep the faith in the company management.
I for one am, particularly in the medium term.

Ports when you wrote, "sentiment is pretty low", did you mean in general or particularly with all the 'reds' today?

Notwithstanding having faith in the Board and the numbers, I do hope that the supply chain issues do not linger in the long term.
The fact that DX is planning more depot openings is some indication of the strength of sentiment.

Evening all and nice to have you back Ports. Reading about IKEA's issues brings to mind what a friend of mine who works for Royal Mail said to me recently.
They just haven't got enough drivers to be able to deliver parcels. In fact, the talk around the mail room was that the issue was getting worse.
As Ports has already stated it will be interesting to see if the ripple effect of IKEA would be felt enough to be mentioned at the upcoming RNS.
The number of driver vacancies still remain unfilled and IMHO the knock on effect will be evident but the extent to which remains another matter.
I continue to maintain faith in the Board and the numbers and I believe that the results will be good for us all.

I literally am a novice investor and have absolutely zero experience relative to many seasoned campaigners.
I'm not posting to agitate anyone and apologise before hand if my lack of understanding irritates anyone on this board.
I bought into this stock in October last year and have small holding.
I've watched the SP yo-yo over the last 12 months or so, read most posts and am rather weary of causing offence or being admonished by others for that matter.
My take is that this is a stock to be held because I believe in the company and the industry.
I don't see cinema being a dying trade but something which will take time to recover!
Despite having made a handsome profit, I nonetheless intend to hold the stock.
Apologies for reiterating comments and stating what is most probably obvious.

Rather late on the uptake but great to hear what Jamie Constable had to say.
Looking at Royal Mail, their parcel delivery volumes have dropped since Covid restrictions began lifting.
Wonder if DX will report similarly in September.
All things considered I'd take the SP in the 40s by the end of the 2021. Anything more would be a bonus.
