I think the main point driving the sp down are production costs. Most of MCB’s products are oil based and as we all know oil prices have increased substantially therefore their margins may be under massive pressure. Their products have a wide market and the company has always been well run - I have often wondered why P and G haven’t swallowed mcb up. I don’t hold any shares at the moment. The share price is sure to rise to reflect the reasonable value of the company.
I think the shots went to monkey pox corner in this game! However ‘ my grannie could have done better with a stick of rhubarb’ Geoff Boycott
Also - Notts are doing well this season - division 2 I know! And as for Forest!! sclp news at some point will be good we all hope, until then enjoy the cricket.
Well a quick look at the results gives me a little bit of hope for ESKN. Of course the element of a possible positive spin and hope for the future means the share price will drop today! Take care.
My feeling is Redmile have been ‘encouraging’ Scancell to attend the Boston Conference and bring ‘numbers’ to the table. Redmile need positive news in the USA to develop their investment portfolio and extend share holder interest and numbers. UK announcements are of little help to them in the states. It does work the other way though and good news in the states can be RNS’d the next day in the UK. Redmile are pulling the strings? getting impatient? They need a return on their investment, so it will be a positive for us all as well.
Just a few thoughts!
Hi burble,
Have you had any contact with The Oxford Mail? Do you have something that you could could cut and paste and send to Scancell’s local paper. If they pick up on it others may take more of an interest. Apologies if you already have been in contact with them. Take care
Well said dynamofc. I need not add more.
Not easy to keep everyone happy.
Bring production back to uk ASAP, improve moulding system, advertise as uk product this would then fly. China bad spot to be associated with. Come On HRN do the right thing.
Just had a car battery fitted at Halfords in Didcot (Oxon) - very good service and a fair price. The store was moderately busy and the people working there were doing a good job.
No doom and gloom re. ho;ding Halfords shares from me.
Take care all
Previous AGM's were held at the Oxford Kassam stadium, I think a change of venue was necessary because that venue is fully booked with a covid 19 vaccine gig. May I say a well run and well organised gig it was too - last Wednesday. It was therefore necessary to find an alternative venue - why London, I have no idea, but anything close to the money markets could be good. Is it quality and expensive, not necessarily expensive in these difficult times for hospitality. Back to Kassam in 2022, it will be interesting to see but with the super new facilities close by you would have to guess so. Weekend well one and all.
Lots of news related to RR and the travel levels increasing. Please understand RR is an engineering company. The best in the business without doubt, yes of course they make engines and increased air travel will increase the bottom line. RR has many strings to its bow. It has great engineers, a very good apprenticeship scheme and will do very well over the years. Sadly they made lots of people redundant a few years ago. A good buy and long term rewards with RR. Take care all.
The phrase How now brown cow has no meaning , it was used in elocution lessons to develop speech, when spoken correctly it gives a rounded mouth and helps develop face muscles. It helps stop slovenly speech. Now as for people not sounding their t's or g's at the end of words a whole new thread could be started!!!
good luck rogue trader with the covid bug - not nice for you or your good friend.
Look after yourself and get your strength back soon.
