Fingers crossed the ITP sale is very soon , this will reduce the amount of debt by approx £1.5 billion. Hopefully with the profits gained this year, RR can use this to implement the share buyback that was approved at the AGM to reduce the debt to a more acceptable level. This together with the reduced shares on the market and major deals consistently signed during 2022 should move the share price by not just 1, 2 pennies, but BIG INCREASES

No2 I never said the 7000 engine was like the 700 engine,
Only stating that it one of the most efficient engines in the world and is going to be used in this deal instead of the 700 engines.

Agree 100%, trying to be positive but there is always guys out there who only want to pick out anything in someone post that makes them seem smarter, for no real benefit to the recent news

Hi Chaigh1, my understanding is the the order for Air Asia was signed back in 2014 to buy 50 long-haul A330-900-neo passenger planes from Airbus, the order included trent 700 engines,.
With covid and manufacturing shutdown for 2 years and also the issues RR had with 700 engines, time has allowed them to upgrade he deal to include the newly-launched Trent 7000 engines, performance benefits compared to the current version of the Trent 700 are miles better

The Group also announced significant milestones in the development of its aerospace propulsion technologies, while the show saw the debuts of the Airbus A350 XWB and the new 'stretch' Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The selection of the new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine as the exclusive powerplant for Airbus's A330neo aircraft preceded selection announcements by AirAsia X (50 aircraft), Transaero Airlines (12) and lessors Air Lease Corporation (25), CIT (15) and Avolon (15). The Trent 7000 builds on the market-leading Trent 700 to deliver significant performance benefits, improving specific fuel consumption by 10 per cent and halving perceived noise.

Elsewhere in the Civil market, Kuwait Airways selected the Trent 700 to power their fleet of five new A330 aircraft and Air Mauritius ordered six Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, powered by the Trent XWB. Away from the show, a higher thrust version of the Trent XWB, the world's most efficient large civil aero engine, ran for the first time on the test bed.

Rolls-Royce also announced an $86m order from lessor MG Aviation for Trent 1000 engines to power two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. United Airlines extended its TotalCare® agreement to support its fleet of RB211-535 engines powering the Boeing 757.

Still work in progress with the issues on the Trent 1000 engine, fixes pushed out to next year. Need this sooner rather then next year as demand is increasing at a fast pace.

Ready to buy more at these stupid prices, just a temp blip

Long haul flights back to high levels of demand is welcoming news, this is huge revenue to RR due to amount of time engines are in flight. Looking forward to the results in August to see how much things have changed, this is the only indicator for me that will prove that things have changed at RR. I am expecting the results to be far better than previously expected, flights have increased massively recently, this together with the many new orders signed will make all analysts and doubters jump onboard with RR. Hopefully we also receive news on the appointment of new CEO which will also give investors confidence if the person is a successful business person. This share price won’t just go up in pennies it will be a sharp jump!

100% correct, the Rolls-Royce Trent 700 is a high-bypass turbofan produced by Rolls-Royce plc to power the Airbus A330. The buyer has a choice of GE and PW engines depends on what was the preferred choice with the A330

When it reaches £1.47 not if, we will be on the upward Trent to £2 or more. I won’t be selling at £1.47 why would you it won’t drop gain after that, my feeling is it will be valued similar to BAE. This company is huge, once the debt has gone and the share buyback is completed it is a clear path to big revenues. Not a ramp, just my thoughts
