Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Haven't been on here for ages but at least it's good news that the FCA have started criminal proceedings.
It's almost certain that a number of the WRN cheerleaders in the chat were actually some of the people that the FCA are investigating.
Hopefully justice will be done.
Allan Biggar seemed very keen to publicise the investment in NARC and even posted it on his LinkedIn:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/whetstone-capital-concludes-year-investment-eve-game-biggar-frsa?trk=read_related_article-card_title
I don’t remember any follow up comms on the deal though. Did it actually happen or was this just another ‘agreement in principle’ type of announcement that we used to see from WRN?
Yes and if they had been genuine, then I’m sure they would’ve backtracked when it was clear the company wasn’t going to issue any comms on the removal from Britdaq.
It must have been bad if a PR Professional like Allan Biggar couldn’t even think of a way to spin the news.
On the positive side, at least punters should be safe from any future ventures involving any of the team at WRN or Whet because anything they come up with in the future will be met with suspicion from the outset.
Having said that, when any of the bullish posters on here were asked to name any company either Allan or Aidan had ever run thy had been successful for investors, they were very reluctant to reveal any and either dodged the question or changed the subject. People still bought in even after thee red flags so maybe the team will try it again in the future.
Whatever happened to the Narc investment?
It was hailed as a game changer just before Christmas 2018. There was no follow-up conms on the deal after that and you wonder if that was just a ploy to enable the team to offload even more shares to the gullible punters while being cheered on here by posters like Cadis and Dollop who boasted of having hundreds of thousands and were topping up on the news.
The previous strike off was challenged by shareholders and suspended so maybe this wil hope again.
Ever since the company was kicked off Britdaq, the strategy seems to have been just complete silence in the hope that everyone would forget about it and move on.
Would be interesting to hear from some of the bullish posters on here to get their views on this.
That’s a shame but I’m sure lots of posters on here aren’t surprised by this news.
I feel sorry for the people who were sucked in by the empty promises made by the management. The same management who didn’t even have the decency to update shareholders when the company was removed from Britdaq or in fact, anything else after that.
It will be interesting to see who profited from Whet and by how much although it looks like we’ll never know.
I wonder if Dollop is still wishing Doug and Aidan well as he did when he admitted to owning almost 200,000 shares in WRN/Whet in one of his last posts.
Or maybe he managed to sell them onto posters like Cadis and Bloodaxe.
Would be nice to hear from some of the positive posters on here and see why they think of the company and it’s prospects now as they all seemed so bullish despite absolutely no evidence to back up their stance.
Or maybe their work is done. Only they know the answer to that!
The answer seems to be that the directors were very keen to communicate (albeit one way comms) when the shares were trading but then, for reasons only known to themselves, completely stopped when it was clear the shares wouldn’t trade again.
No explanation from directors on what the next steps were for shareholders and what was being done at board level to rectify.
And again, no comms when the WRN went into court ordered liquidation or when the Whetsone directors resigned.
Here’s a snippet from Allan Biggar’s own website in which he outlines some of his many attributes:
If you ask what I do I guess I bring an ability to think big ideas, put them on paper, create a strategy and build organisations to deliver them. I love to take someone’s vision and make it real. The people I have worked with are very often smarter than me but make them real is a great gift as well as the ability to convince a room of people to follow me. I am also a Christian and am in the process of establishing ManKind a charity aimed at helping men who run into the buffers in mid life.
At lease he’s honest in saying that he has the ‘ability to convince a room of people to follow him’ or maybe he should be more specific and say he has the ability to convince a WhatsApp Chat Group to follow him.
Fair play that to him and Aidan that despite the broken promises that WRN made, they were able to get so many onboard for a second round.
It’s amazing that people are surprised by the outcome to be honest as you just had to read the back stories of the individuals involved to know what was going to happen in the long run.
Here’s an example of one such post from Cadis on Christmas Eve 2018 just after the NARC ‘deal’ was announced:
We were just talking about our future plans last night, which are based on Whet and WRN doing well. Looks like the dream is soon to become reality.......now, keep it to myself or shout from the hilltops? Lots of false dawns here but I always kept the faith, hence my big buying over the last three months. So glad an investment is finally paying off! As the great Homer says - Woohoo!!!
Perhaps he did genuinely believe the hype and if so, Cadis, I hope you’re ok and have learned a lesson and that your wife has forgiven you.
Or maybe he was an insider on here ramping in order to get mug punters to buy his worthless stock.
Only he will know the answer to that.
In my opinion, the posters on these chat forums who continually ramped WRN and then Whetstone are almost as morally bankrupt as the ones behind the companies as they were happy to spin the promises made which I’m sure they knew were at best exaggerated if not totally false.
Never underestimate how low people will stoop when there’s some easy money to be made from others.
Yes, Wulstan Earley and Darren Chapman sold huge chunks of shares over the first few months of listing on Britdaq and looks like that was the plan all along.
Who would’ve guessed something like that given the track record of the individuals involved!
It’s just incredible that so many fell for it given the WRN experience and how many called it out for it clearly was.
How many posters on here refused to discuss the respective companies and instead resorted to abuse instead of a debate regarding the pros and cons of investing.
Seems to be only Comical Ali that’s left posting on here. All the others have either given up or maybe even seen sense! Wonder if Comical Ali really is just an investor or maybe he’s closer to the respective companies than he makes out? Maybe he’s Happy, Chilled and Relaxed as he’s managed to dupe loads of punters out of thousands. Who knows!
EBITDA The ADVFN board. He’s always posting threats that anyone who has ever posted anything remotely negative or been sceptical about the intentions of the respective BoDs at WRN and WHET will be hauled in front of the High Court and made to pay for their opinions.
This could of course be a tactic to disrupt any discussion and debate on the actual pros and cons of the investment - who knows.
Bit like some posters on here who point blank refuse to discuss the most important topics for shareholders, namely why were Whet removed from Britdaq and why has there been no communication from the company since May 2019.
If you believe Darren Chapman over on the other site, the company are banking on making millions from suing posters on message board for stating their opinion. Sounds like a full-proof plan!
I don’t seem to remember the RNSs back in the day mentioning this as part of the revenue stream.
Whyte claims he didn’t profit from his time at Rangers but the problem with making statements like that is that there’s evidence to the contrary:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2012/feb/24/rangers-ally-mccoist-shares-arsenal
There also the £250k ‘investment’ in Banstead Athletic and that somehow ended up in Aidan Earley’s account!
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/banstead-athletic--rangers-an-exclusive-1117548.amp
Whyte would’ve probably tried to sell the marble staircase in the Main Stand if he could’ve removed it!
