Yep, agreed - it's just that 30p placing. It haunts us, same at DNL & MSYS. Low placings equals lots of shares to be flipped for a profit. So frustrating they chose that moment to do it at that price.

Have got sore arms pinching myself here, lol ! Horrendous paper losses, then I look at :-
Synairgen - hoping for decent P3 data sometime next year .... mcap £403M
Angle - patiently awaiting FDA approval (!!) .... mcap £291M
Shield Therapeutics - FDA approved, selling product all around the world and expanding markets .... mcap £77M - BONKERS.

Icarus - fully understand your points raised. I do have to stress though that the ' no previous history' you refer to has now been fully replaced. Watts was/is incapable and was finally ousted about a year too late. He was also able to take a sizable chunk with him - nothing short of scandalous imho, whilst the rest of us continue to suffer daily.

GM and BG are experienced players and have what it takes to get this thing running on full steam. The slides showing the physicians crying out for a better therapy was enough to see they have something to go at.

Watts and the old STX have mullered sentiment, which is going to take some repairing, sadly. I hold and wait with grim resolve.

Yes, just watched his September presentation through, and he is exuding confidence. Knows what he has to do, and more importantly, how to get it done.

Icarus - high risk? That was arguably the case when Tim Watts was at the helm and offered the 30p placing because he was incapable of securing a deal with interested US partners, and we were hoodwinked along for 18 months or so (at a considerably higher price as well).

With Watts as history, and a specialist team of US market experts replacing him, I would again question your terminology. Hardman seem to think so as well. I quote:-

Hardly high risk when compared to some higher priced companies awaiting FDA approval. All about opinions though.

I speak mainly in hope rather than any certainty, and it is the most frustrating share in my portfolio by some distance ! However, when I look at all the figures, particularly those kind that you have presented above, the case becomes compelling once again. It appears to be a open goal, but the market is yet to be convinced.

I wonder what developments we will get 22/23rd September as it's such early days, can we probably only hope for encouraging noises rather than actual figures? (I would love to be incorrect on this), and see a lovely healthy start. It still baffles me to this day the market cap in comparison to others with an actual product out there on the shelves vs unapproved potentials. DNL is the same as well.

I am imagining that the company could very well surpass the conservative estimates I have seen of 2-5% of market share after 3 years. The gap in treatments offered supports this theory. If the RNS contained any hint of that seed being planted, the price could react accordingly.
