I was surprised they mentioned a buy back, with so much debt outstanding. Reducing debt would also increase the share price, by virtue of increasing the over all equity valuation. In as much as buying share increases EPS, so does paying down debt - perhaps more so if the interest is 10%.

I do wonder if Tyrus are pushing for this, because it is making a take out cheaper for them. If JSE spend £10M on buying shares, they have in reality saved Tyrus £10M on those shares if they were to make an offer at say +50% share price, so 45p. (the shares bought back at 20p would already be owned by the company so not need the extra 20p premium). Im sure many of us remember the last buy back here and what happened, subsequently.

On a personal note, this is one of my worst investments, in terms of loss, and outlook.

Slight increase, im still waiting for a decent pullback to add a few. I have given up on sub £3.00 but perhaps I might see £3.10

This has all the hallmarks of short selling IMO, and I wouldn't rule Blackrock out as the culprits either. Notice they had 2.5% as a financial instrument. Some big trades going through each day, which has encouraged me to be a buyer each day.

The alu acquisition sounds great. I think the drop was unfair today, but iv been around long enough to know what was going on. I think this has a good chance of a TO personally, as its not being valued on the market. Hope I can add a few more before it goes.

Excluding Alunet, Group sales for the four months to 30 April 2025 were level(1) with 2024, with volume down 1%. Including Alunet, Group sales were up 8%

Yeah, I will just say again that I achieved an +50% to the book price of this stock. What ever went before really doesn't matter, I thought part of trading was not being stubborn and insisting the market agrees with you. I took my exit with a smile on my face knowing I got a better deal than I had expected.

I think they have issued a lot of shares in the past, and have future payments to make for previous acquisitions. I hold a lot too, but I gave up expecting this to do well in 2025 a while back.

But your down nearly 50% here, since you bought in the high 3's.

I took the first part of a position on Friday. It is just short sellers, they can push the price around at no real cost. If you want to look at weeks instead of hours you will do ok at this price.

Laura, your thesis is that somebody else is bidding for this - Lumon. But what if any buying is by directors and those connected to the current offer? They have 58% so far, so they really need 75% to be sure to get it through. I think that is more likely, meaning that, lets say Party A, need 17% more. Yes, I suppose Party B could buy lets say, 26% to block the deal, but that is going to be near on impossible, and incredibly risky. Maybe it does go to an offer, I can see your angle, but its ever so high risk IMO. What would the next party bid ? 5p? There are much easier way to make money on the UK market for small time peeps like you. If you step back and look the risk reward here its, you might as well go to the casino. That is why I sold mine above the TO offer. Your right, it was a big drop from the closing price, but I cant see this coming back above 8p, so your RR is terrible here. I got a nice 30% on good results on Thursday, id take that every time to gambling on what might happen on a penny stock.
